I honestly though Itandje had gone! :D He would be the first I'd say though to be fair. We have Cavalieri, who has impressed in pre-season (and can kick! :D) so I'm sure Charles will be surplus to requirements.

Other than that, I wouldn't be happy to see anyone go. The depth this season will only make us a better side so I'd rather add names!

       :lmao:

To be honest I don't care about 'keeping everyone happy'.  I care about us winning games, and all of us being ecstatic if we win the league.

Thing is, two players for each posistion is how it should really be. Ok three left backs but I'm guessing that Dossena or Aurelio can be used as wingers and Insua is still very young. But Finnan should really be making a move now.

If Finnan and Itanje go, it'd make sense. If Pacheco or Nemeth are first team, then it only makes sense that Voronin should go. If David Silva or any other winger is bought, then maybe it should be Kuyt that goes...

That's my sentiments. I'm pissed off hearing about United and Chelsea having such a quality bench while I'm watching matches. Why can't we have that?

Read your list, and I liked it! ;D I would prefer to keep them all to be honest, after all, our new signings have all said they're aware of the squad size and are prepared to fight for their place in the first team. I think I prefer to have a large quality squad - wasn't it Arsenal who struggled last season because they didn't have enough depth? Keep them all and make them scrap it out, then they'll be even more eager and proud to pull on the red shirt on matchday!

Itandje and Voronin we dont need.

Not that i dont rate Voro, which i dont overly do anyway, but we have Nando, Kuyt, Keane, Babel, Ngog and have Nemeth and Pacheco in the reserves. Its just cash sitting on the bench.

If i had to slim down the squad, i would do the above i think, but then again we dont really need to... Just noticed that Nemeth isnt there

No i dont want to get rid of them, but i had a gun to my head and 5 had to go, i'd choose those 5. Actually im wrong Itanje would go instead of Yossi, just noticed that ::)

I don't think we need Itandje so he can go.
And I suppose with all these forwards then we could get rid of Voronin I mean he's had a good pre-season but everyone said that last year ::)
IMO, I don't think we really need Pennant, I don't think he's consistant enough.

I would probs get rid of Voronin, Itandje and Pennant to raise some funds to either get Barry or a left winger.

Definitely Itandje, Voronin, I think Pennant and Finnan are safe for now but will leave maybe in January. but definitely by next summer. we are one player short in the much publised LM/AML role. I dream for Ribery.. hope for Silva... but expect Downing now for around £12m after the events of Friday night and the continued barry saga!

Today I came to the conclusion that too many of our squad players are unable to put two decent performances on the run. The regulars that we have (Reina, Arbeloa, Carra, Skrtel, Xabi, Stevie, Nando) are regulars because they have one bad game every now and then.

Whereas you look at the likes of Benayoun who against Chelsea was unplayable, tonight dreadful. Lucas, we all thought he'd turned the corner against Newcastle, following game (second half sub against Preston) looked back to his worse. Riera, well he hasn't had two decent performances on the trot since Halloween in my opinion.

They look great one week and then dreadful the next. Now this may seem like a "knee jerk" reaction after such a defeat to Everton, but it's not. It's something I've believed for a while and Benayoun's performance tonight confirmed it for me. I was singing his praises on Sunday because he was looking outstanding but he doesn't build on it. He's gone back to the player we had at the start of the season.

Bad day at the office? No more like a regular day at the office for some of the players tonight.
