What stronger side could we have picked?  Stevie not 100% so he has to be on the bench.  It's a strong side from Real - this will be no pushover.  I'll be happy with a 1-1 draw, as it means we'll have bagged that vital away goal, which the Scum couldn't get yesterday.

would have started gerrard personally played him until it looked he was feeling the strain on the leg then taken him off, if you bring him on it takes a sub and then if things go wrong with his leg costs another, also give the players a boost to see there captain walkin on with them.

Back from my walk and I'm a lot calmer.

Good team, strongest possible. We'll probably see Gerrard for 20 mins or so depending on the result.

I think the team rafa has selected means that no matter the result atleast he won't get a grilling from the media for team selection. Hope gerrard isn't needed tonight. I think Alonso will run the midfield but the most important thing is our defence must be solid. No slip ups from carragher and skrtel which i'm not worried about, just the defence as a whole from set pieces.
I'm going for a 1-0 to us with Kuyt getting the goal.

The closer it gets to kick the more comfort I am seemingly finding that this will be another great Liverpool victory.  Benayoun is the key to this game, Alonso is going to rip them apart. But if Benayoun can shrivel his way and make the runs to create space for Torres its gonna be great!!!
