Blackpool Mascot Of Years Gone By

Back in the days of Stanley Mathews and Stan Mortenson Blackpool were a top club and had a mascot,now I recall seeing this mascot from the boys pen when it was in Kemlyn Road.The question for posters is,do you know what that mascot was.

No it was not a Bloomfield Bear gareth,and it was not Emlyn Hughes either it was before Emlyn's time.

Sorry JD it was not a stick of rock with a kiss me quick hat.Off topic I know but I believe Ferguson had a hat with, ( give me C.P.R.) after that thrashing on Saturday.

It looks like this thread is a dead duck and that's what the Blackpool mascot was,it was a duck but a live one and if my memory is not playing tricks it was coloured tangerine like the Blackpool Shirts.They used to put it in the center circle before kickoff,I am not sure if it was on display for all matches or just cup games.

Thanks for that link RedPuppy,maybe my memory is not too bad after all.I certainly remember seeing the duck at Anfield but i did not recall what its name was.I do know that we used to have a good laugh when they brought it out.Cheers.
