I think if we play attacking football and go a goal up at HT..... it will wind up Ronaldo and Rooney, we could see either of them off.... then get a 2nd... and sit back frustatrate them....

cnt wait.... had a dream last night.... in the dream im shouting the word "unbeleivable" and im smiling..... im feeling 2-0 or 2-1 to us.....

cnt wait it to start but very nervous

I hope to see the same line up to what was put out against Madrid and i think that we could take all the points.

Come on boys....this game is gonna be the turning point!!!!   Humiliate them.......  We'll be the first in a long while to go to that place looking to attack.  We aren't scared of them!

If we beat them, i can see them collapse....

I thin we might see 1 change at LB.... Aurelio doesnt usually do 2 games in a week... hope he does play if not then we could see Insua slot in...

      Just a thought;

Today is friday the 13th, United always get every bit of luck going so maybe tomorrow they will have things go against them and we will finally have that luck.

I know it would be Saturday the 14th but were not playing them today so it carries over ;) :D

I hope aurelio and arbeloa are playing ( still in real madrid mode ) because i know these two and skertel are quick enough to snuff out 'winker' ronaldo and rooney ..or should that be rodney both plonkers !! i doubt if ferdinand and vidic can catch nando and stevie g ..game on !! run their legs off reds !! 2-0 to us

We cant approach the game with the same as Real game... United are very dangerous on the break and could possibily cause a greater threat than Real did.... Real is a decent side with great attacking players and we stopped them playing...we need our attacking players to help out the midfield.... the midfield battle is the vital one... im gna go for Reira on the left for this one as he has better pocession than babel... plus his shot are more accurate.. babel can be a good sub for us as he was on the anfield game v united....

We need a strong, pacey LB to play against ronaldo..... insua is more technical but slow, dossena.....nice to see him score but cant throw him in this one.... aurelio is the best bet but hope the fitness doesnt caught him up..

Because Insua played in the reserves match (yesterday) how does that affect his chances of playing tomorrow?

      Prob slim along with Spearing...

But with Alonso likely to miss, Aurelio is my best bet to play with Mascherano is the middle, prob Dossena/Insua at LB...

Really hope the Alonso news is not true..

"Meanwhile, Philipp Degen and Daniel Agger are Liverpool's only injury concerns, though Benitez revealed the latter was 'very close' to a first-team comeback." http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N163598090313-1602.htm

Yup absolute rubbish, Xabi and Masch will control the game...It's just up to the team to be as clinical as possible. If we can take our chances, we will definitely win. Sorry that I wont be able to watch this one...

      Dear Sir/Madam, Mighty Em

That post was rather anal retentive, but let's not make that the issue. Let's take it on a matter of logic. Chelsea I believe, had a formidable record of what? 4 years if my memory proves correctly. And we managed to not only out play them but in fact have Fernando Torres score a wonderful brace. That said, when YOUR team is about to play their arch rivals. I would not under normal circumstances expect that you highlight the facts that the opponents are better and we should admit to defeat. Before the whistle be blown or the ball being kicked.

The performance mid-week should underline the fact that Liverpool has truly grown leaps and bounds under the financially circumcised Liverpool management, the great miscarriage of 2007. We completely made a mockery of Real Madrid, and now the challenge that looms before us; is to face Man U with the optimism that we can do it and will do, not seen in recent history. There is nothing to suggest that we cant, except SSN. So let's not be pessimistic, let's get behind the lads and give them our all. That's what we're here for without us there is no Liverpool, we are the backbone, the lifeblood. So let's take this opportunity to give them a real good backing in saying Man U is not the team to beat, in fact it is Liverpool. In doing that we've already won the battle and looking at the war holistically.
