Anyone got Xbox 360?

I really want to buy one but they cost sooo much! They cost £199 with just the console and the controller but they cost £270 with the console, 20gb hard drive & Xbox 360 live kit and thats the one i would want so i could kick peoples ass at online pro evo 6

Is it? I got a ps2 only... use to have a normal xbox but sold it... how much better is an xbox 360 than a ps2 or a normal xbox and what are the prices like for the games and the console... also can't you get an online kit?

you can get the premium console for £280 with Fifa 07 and Tiger Woods 07 in woolworths at the moment plus Fifa is so much better than pro evo 6.  Playstation 2 doesnt come close to the xbox 360 cant compare them.

all you need for xbox live is a broadband connection in your house and a cable to connect to, then one your looking at liverbird comes with a cable so you only need broadband

the silver membership is free - you can goto xbox marketplace and download updates.demos. themes etc. mostly for free but you need xbox gold membership to play online against others £4.99 per month well worth it though  and you can get 48hr trial coupons free when you buy certain games

christov84, as you own an Xbox 360 you will know a lot about the machine itself... so tell me.. what is better to get - the core or the premium? whats the difference? is it just the package?

I'm not to sure about the Xbox live thing i dont use it!! But a pal put a password on it when he was round and he hasnt told me it yet! so i got an xbox and i cant play the games!!

Loads can afford it, but can you afford to to waste money like that? anyway i was just kiddin no one should get offended by that post... all i wanna know is who the **** would spend 500 odd quid on a console unless you are rich? yet again he might be rich i dunno.. i aint tho.. will be one day

£500 is a lot of money okay.  But it's a lot less than the cost of the

- car I drive
- the house I have a mortgage on
- my council tax for the year

So of course I could 'afford' it.  I don't spend x number of hours at work a week for the good of my health.
