Thomas cook are gits, and i'll tell you a bigger why than you have ever heard!
My Dad is an engineer for them at Manchester Airport, He enquired about tickets through them, they informed him he would have to buy a whole match day package, which is useless considering its 15 min drive to Anfield, or if im in my girlfriends, its a 10 minute walk through stanley park.
When he explained this to the girl, she informed him that no-one is exempt to just recieving a ticket, and if we are not willing to buy a package, them somebody else is.
I know Thomas Cook paid around £1 million for the rights to do these packages, and clearly want to make as big a profit as possible, as they know there is a market out there willing to pay ridiculous prices to get tickets, but the attitude towards one of there employee's is dispicable, considering my Dad has saved their asses thousands of pounds by going out around the world to fix problems on aircraft! Hell, last year when my family were on board the flight to come home from the dominican republic, one of the fuel gages wasn't reading the fuel tank properly, so rather than the plane being grounded and Thomas Cook paying thousands out to put people up in hotels and fly technicians out, my Dad, in his summer clothes, got up, fixed the problem, got covered in oil, stank all the way back to Liverpool, and how did Thomas cook thank him? £50 meal voucher to a cafe rouge.
Also the arrogance of LFC.
I did a postal application a couple months back and thought i'd end up with a spare ticket as i won on the ballot, well no spare ticket for me to give to my mate, i get my ticket today, its only in the self addressed envelope i sent the ticket office with the postal application. the cheek!!
