I think 5th would be a great place for us this season.

      I don't.

If we don't get Champion's League this season, we will only fall even further behind unless FSG suddenly decide to start spending like drunken sailors.

Nah Carlos, you use yours and show me who has "insisted" we haven't improved. It's you that is making the claim. I haven't said you are wrong btw; I just want you to name names and address them individually. That way there can be no confusion when you pull them for having an opinion different from yours.

Quick question: do you believe we have improved the squad team as much as we could or should have?  :confused-smiley-013:

our next 5 games could determine our league outcome,

      Swansea away - draw
      Southmapton  home - win
      Cup v scum- probable loose
      Sunderland away - win
      palace home - win
      newcastle away - draw
west brom - home - win

if this happens were right in the mix

just out of curiosity, who is this Carlos Lad you on about?

He is just a c**t, a c**t that we have now got rid of. He was so stupid that he couldn't even identify with our common values and beliefs, at least then he may have had a chance of flying under the radar.

His blatant defence of that slag Thatcher had me onto him like a flash. The man had no brain, which was ultimately his downfall.

      Anyway, back on topic.

Optimism?. I F***ing love it!. Without hope we have nothing.

Grrrr, lose not loose.  And we're going to muller those dirty Mancs. even if the play with Felony (assault) & Robin Van Elbows.

The same amount of points we are ahead of last season's corresponding fixtures
      Bump.

We are now 4 points 'ahead' of last season's tally in corresponding fixtures.

the way I am looking at it is if we can keep ahead of 2 points per game avg we should be on 76 points and a CL spot.

So I thought I'd update this:

      Jan 4 - 2 - 1 - 1 - 7
      Feb 3 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 4
      Mar 4 - 3 - 0 - 1 - 9
      Apr 4 - 1 - 3 - 0 - 6
      May 3 - 2 - 1 - 0 - 7
      Aug 2 - 2 - 0 - 0 - 6
      Sep 4 - 2 - 1 - 1 - 7
      Oct  1 - 1 - 0 - 0 - 3

      Total    25 - 14 - 7 - 4 - 49

So now on a PPG of 1.96 for this year.

So if we hold this form we would get about 75 points, which would get us top 4 in any
      of the last 5 years.

Of course these numbers include Jan to March last, our number got seriously better since then.

On current form, 86 points is what we'll finish on. Last season is irrelevant due to different teams, managers, playing strategies and the fact every team changes in terms of thei. Quality (Southampton).

One step at a time though folks
