Villa fans boo Agbonlahor

I thought our knee-jerkers were bad, but for the love of God - what the hell have Villa fans got to boo about!

Martin O'Neill has criticised the Aston Villa fans who booed striker Gabriel Agbonlahor during Sunday's 2-1 home defeat by Tottenham.

Agbonlahor, who has netted 11 goals this season but only two since mid-December, was targeted by Villa fans when he was substituted on 79 minutes.

"Gabby's been fantastic for this club and I'm very disappointed with what happened," said Villa boss O'Neill.

"I've got to tell you that is no way to treat him after what he has done here."

I think he is starting to tire a bit in his first full season with Villa but it is a shame that supporters booing him but that seems to have creep into the modern game.

Gabby is a quality player, great prospect for the future, a little tutoring from experienced players. For the fans to jump on his back is crazy.

I agree. Some fans have a real short attention span. Doesn't matter how great you are, people have off days. If a player gives it his all, and doesn't just "Collect a check", he'll get respect.
