A very interesting read that a few of us on here have been talking about all season.  I've also posted it in a few other topics as it's pertinent to more than just the Reserves thread.

That's a good read, Debs. Our reserves squad is low on numbers just like the first team is and I hope these deficiencies are addressed in the near future.

They need to be mate if we are to continue with bolstering the 1st team.  The thought of losing players like Coady and Adorjan next season is a worry.

Pelosi puts in a bit of a rough challenge just a second earlier and it's clearly a revenge tackle, f**king disgusting. Never an excuse for that type of behaviour, scumbag is right Racer.

Should get a lengthy ban indeed, sick challenge.

Watching the little tw*t after it too really makes me angry, telling people to calm down, going over and looking at the damage, F***ing pr**k!

Terrible that, hopefully it'll have no lasting effect on Marc. Judging by the movement of his leg that's going to take some come back and determination from him.  YNWA son.

Big game for the lads tonight.

It'll be a tough fixture and with several regular players missing it means a few under 18's will be featuring.

      Monday: U21s v Man United

Liverpool U21s take on Manchester United in arguably the Academy clash of the season on Monday, February 25, at St Helens' Langtree Park - a game you can watch live on LFC TV and online from 6pm GMT.

This will be the first meeting between the two arch-rivals at Academy level this season, and the youngsters could do with your support.

Admission is just £6 for adults and £3 for children and reasonably priced hospitality tickets are also available.

Our live coverage on LFC TV starts at 6pm. Join Matt Critchley alongside former Reds John Aldridge and Neil Mellor. Kick-off is at 7pm.

Kick-off at Langtree Park will be at 7pm and you can purchase tickets in advance. Supporters should note that, with the game being played at a third party venue, season tickets are not valid for this game.

Ooh yes, very strong team.  I'm glad they've been brought back to the reserves, they need to get back to their roots and build some confidence.

Coady back at CH too.  Wonder if that's for Brendan wanting to see how he does as another option for the first team next season.

      Looks likely.
      Probably means Coates is gone.

I think so too mate.  Such a shame for the lad as he hasn't suddenly become a bad player, like so many others he just doesn't fit, for whatever reasons.

Signed for a deeper lying defense.
Maybe the higher line has shown weaknesses in his game.

Either way I think Coady looks likely to become a utility player.

Brendan likes players who have more than one natural position mate so maybe you're right.

It is mate, I just hope we haven't left ourselves defensively light in the middle going for such an attacking lineup.
