Wenger - Old Trafford win flattered Liverpool
      By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger feels Liverpool’s win at Manchester United flattered the Anfield side.

The Frenchman believes the 4-1 victory on Saturday has opened up the title race to an extent but Sir Alex Ferguson’s side are still likely to lift the Premier League trophy in May. He attributed the result to Manchester United’s hefty workload since the turn of the year.

“There are two things I would like to say about that game,” he said.

“Firstly, congratulations to Liverpool for winning with an emphatic score, but I think overall it is a very flattering result.

"For big spells in the game Manchester United dominated but they made mistakes on the day that usually they don’t make. Some players looked a bit mentally tired.

“It opens up the race for the title but I still believe that Manchester United are in a strong position with that game in hand. However they have played many matches since Christmas and it looked to have caught up with them on Saturday.”

Wenger is so green with envy. He has to always suck up to Fergie to take a jab at Liverpool FC. He is like an Alex Ferguson sidekick. He lacks self respect.

He's had to bow down to Liverpool FC in the Champions League and he is still bitter.

He is struggling to stay in a Champions League spot and 9 points behind Liverpool FC

I understand that he is bittee. Moron

Its just jealousy, this season Wenger hasn't had a clue whats going on.

And i reckon hes still bitter about the champions league ;D

arsenal just aint the side they were 4 or 5 seasons ago, and if im honest i cant see them challenging for trophys for the next couple of seasons at the moment they are just not good enough.

Really who cares what this senile old twit says, he often puts his mouth in gear before his brain, I really dont pay much attention to him at all his team are not in the title race, but I think he feels his side will have a say in who wins it. If I were him I would stfu and concentrate on improving your own side before you critisise others tha mans a foo and needs a snicker thrown at his head.. tis facts

His comments about manUre making uncharacteristic mistakes and looking mentally tired are statements of fact what Wenger neglects to point out is the reason for this, they were outplayed(fact),lost discipline(fact)and the tactics employed by Rafa and the team in general were impeccable and that is also a statement of fact all borne out by the crushing scoreline.
For Wenger to make the assertions he has is unprofessional and lacking in character,it is akin to rudolfs' claims that Rafa was having a rant and losing it,and we all know who got his arse bitten with that one.

Pathetic, he's been a great manager in the past, but in recent seasons he's taken the sell-out option of sucking up to Ferguson in an attempt to cover up his own shortcomings.

He was the one manager beside our own of course, that was worth listening to and he used to make some very incisive comments but as you say over the last 2 or 3 seasons the pressure is showing.

Wenger what's wrong mate. So the scoreline flatters us and we were never worth a 4-1 win, I disagree with you a lot, the last goal flattered us but surly you have to be their to score, the scoreline was right as we scored four. That says it all.

You then say we were dominated by MU for large parts of the game, your having a laugh surly, after they got and scored from a lucky pen I thought the rest of the first half belonged to us and all they did that half was moan and groan.

The second half you have a point and we were pushed back (they were the home team) only to KO them on the counter attack, twice, a thing your team do well if I'm not mistaken. Pepe Riena, he had one or two scares, but saves, he never had one to make and that says it all.

What you say next is unbelievable, some of their players were mentally tired, yet you never refer to ours being the same and we have a smaller squad than them, and yet you go on and say they have played many matches since Christmas and it looks to be catching up to them. Absolute rubbish.

Wenger look at the facts, Ferguson and most others Rubbish Rafa for 'Rotating' the team and the sh*te he has had to take from a lot of football people is unbelievable, considering they all do it themselves (bloody hypocrites).

So if Ferguson don't know how to rotate his team properly that's his misfortune, all I do know is Rafa always has his whole squad fit at this time of the season and Wenger, that's not down to luck but good management............

Yesterdays man trying to keep in the lime light. I suppose Fulham were Lucky Scholes didnt hand ball and Rooney let the ball slip out of his hand. Mark Swarzwer mention something intereting. He said he saw something different in the eyes of Utd players from the previous 2 games in the League and the cup. That is fear of failure as far as I am concerned. They know they have been lucky to get the results they have had and now its caught them out. Wenger must be Fergies bi*ch or something.

You know, he is probally right. The score did flatter us, and the scum did have more position.

BUT, why say this 10 days after the event, and if my memory serves me correct, when we played A.C.Milan on the 25th May 2005, again the score probally flattered us, and again we were out played for most of that game too, and like the game at "The Theatre of Dreams" (how crass) we won, we do not care how we won, and we will continue to enjoy the fact that we won.

So Mr. Wenger, please take note, Mind your own business and keep your big nose out of our affairs. Concentrate on your own problems, and not on our triumphs.

I wouldn't say it flattered us, or we were outplayed.

No win flatters anyone - a goal is a goal, and how it was scored does not matter, but more the fact that it was scored.

      Goals win games.

So if Arsenal go to Old Trafford and are out played but still win 4-1 do you think he'll admit they were flattered by the result.

Dont think so.......... He's just trying to get his rubbish talk to annoy us because he's bored now that they are not a top 3 side anymore.
