Surround Sound Help

Ok guys im looking to get surround sound speakers 5.1

have a few questions though

• Is the connection between speakers wireless?
• will it be useable with PS3? if so how?

I'm honestly not sure mate. Your best bet is probably going into somewhere like Comet, Currys, Dixons etc and asking one of the shop assistants in there.

My PS3 does not attach to my suround system, as the HMDI cable goes to the tele, and there seems to be no Audio out sockets on the PS3, BUT if you have an upto date flat screen, it should have audio out sockets. Use these to the surround system, to get 5.1 for the PS3, but turn the TV Vol down.

Did not know this, must read the manual
But my surround system is 8yrs old, so it does not have opitical.

It should work fine mate, I have a Panasonic SC-PT460 and have to say getting a surround sound system hooked up via optical to a PS3 is pretty sweet (esp playing CoD4/5 and on BR), also my system has a Ipod dock which is pretty sweet as it works usuing the systems remote.....

One thing I will say tho is that system doesnt say that it has a optical  out/in so if you can try and find out if it does as if not you'll have to use the AV Multi out thing  (come with PS3 and has the red/white/yellow connection things but doesnt sound as good), also i'm pretty sure I looked at that system, it does say wireless but it doesnt come like that out of the box, I was told I needed to buy a wireless adapeter from Samsung (£75) to get that feature to work so again see if you can find out about that.
