Down to the Championship - in our favour?

Just looking at the table, Sunderland, Pompey, Newcastle and Middlesborough all in a relegation battle and 2 will be going down it looks like. A pool of players we can pick and choose from if they're good enough and some are.

Downing, K. Jones, Crouch, Owen, Guttierez? All good players.

I'd love to see Crouch come back and play for us but I dont think he would he seems to have only just managed to find himself a spot in the national team now and he wont want to jeopardise that. I think Glen Johnson would be one to look at also if we could get him cheap enough RB is a position that we lack depth but unless he moved in front of arby in the pecking order (which is highly unlikely) we may have the same problem with him as we do with crouch.

I would take G.Johnson and Kenwyne Jones. I would have said Downing maybe last season but now we have Riera, Babel, Dossena, Aurelio who can all play in that position.

Owen or Crouch really. That's it.

We don't need anyone else.

Glen Johnson and that would be it for me. I take Crouch but really wouldn't think he would come back to play on the bench at Liverpool but if he would want to come back I wouldn't be against it.

Guttierez. Has shone in a very poor Newcastle side, would offer us quality down either flank. Plus being an Arge, would help him settle into our side with the likes of Masch, Insua and Leto when he returns.

Would only be interested in seeing Crouchy or Owen return to the club to be honest.

Owen, Crouch and maybe Glen Johnson I'd take. Especially Owen because I don't think Crouchy would come back unfornuately

Good, so i'm not a loony for thinking he has a bucket load of talent. He is very impressive as DLS says, in a sh*te Magpies outfit. Fabulous work ethic too.

Agree completely with the Guittarez idea I think he would be an ideal fit to our squad. Has pace and skill and is very dangerous when moving forward.

Besides him from Croucinho's list I would also show interest in K. Jones.

I think Gutierrez is actually very good. Under-rated by everyone, but we don't need him IMO.

I'd like to see Crouch back, as for Owen, stuff him, he wanted glory and chose to leave, WRONG choice.

Anyone else a fan of Tuncay? I admire him as a player, i think he's fantastic. Not saying we need him but would be a handy player to have if we didnt already have Yossi.

I am a fan he is a slicky striker a rare breed in the premiership. I could see him being a bit more prolific in a better side.

Class in an attacking mid role too, probably more so in that position than a striker.
