Maybe we signed a new one? IF true of course.

On the official site I'm sure it said 'Official Kit 05/08' ??? Unless I'm seeing things.

Close but no cigar, 06/08, but thats the Kit, not the sponsor. The Red home kit was for the usual 2 years, but the away Yellow, and White/Green Euro are both for one year only. (sorry if this is a repost) I was warned about this when I got the Euro kit with its lovely 5 Star Euro Badge, Sad I know but will it need to be changed :)

This was the original press release on 31/05/05 by Paul Eaton regarding

      CARLSBERG RENEW SPONSORSHIP WITH REDS

Carlsberg Breweries has renewed its partnership with Liverpool FC as Official Club Sponsor for a further two years extending its contract to the end of the 2006/07 season.
The agreement was finalised prior to Liverpool's amazing result in the Champions League Final last Wednesday night.

Carlsberg has been the Main Club Sponsor of Liverpool since 1992, the longest club partnership in The Premiership.

Rick Parry, Chief Executive of Liverpool FC, said: "The partnership has been enormously successful over the last 13 years and we're delighted we've been able to extend it into what we hope will be a new era for the club. We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Carlsberg and look forward to continuing that in the future."

Gareth Roberts, Carlsberg UK Sponsorship Controller added: "The Carlsberg and Liverpool relationship is one of the longest and most successful in football. Carlsberg is delighted to be able to continue this partnership for a further two years and would like to add our congratulations to the club for the outstanding result in the Champions League."

Keld Strudahl, Senior International Marketing Director, Carlsberg Breweries said: "We're very happy to be extending our club sponsorship of Liverpool FC. Carlsberg's continued involvement with the club enables us to jointly build on our relationships with the international fan community which is stronger than ever following the amazing win in Istanbul."

As official Club Sponsor, the renewed two year Liverpool FC contract will deliver a significant rights package ensuring a global reach including the Far East, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe markets, as well as the core markets of Western Europe.

Carlsberg is committed to football at all levels of the game and aims to bring its unique and extensive football credentials to the benefit of fans and communities across the UK.

Posted by: Jabba - Staying with Carlsberg.

Could you shed some light on this please mate as it's a bit of a mystery?

One other thing I would seriously like to see during our final years at Anfield (it makes me very sad when I think about no more Anfield  :'() is some commerative shirts.
(Arsenal returned to their original colours at Highbury before that closed).
I have a "Farewell To the Spion Kop 1906 - 1994" t-shirt , 17 years old, in mint condition which I will wear on the final ANFIELD day.

It would be great for Carlsberg stay with us til at least the end of Anfield, they are synonymous with Liverpool and have been a great sponser over the years.

Aw yay we're staying with Carlsberg then :) Thanks RedPuppy for correcting me hehe.

I want us to go back to retro shirt for our last season, like I want Cardiff to, but I don't think it's gonna happen :(

Don't like none of those shirts.  Bring back the red (home) white with black shorts (away) keep it simple.  None of this fancy lines or stenceling rubbish. There were a few shocking designs earlier...

The home one looks like a Spain kit, not very keen on any of them TBH.

I'd assume so. That would be why Carlsberg isn't on it either, alcohol advertising's banned in lot's of European countries. I like the look of having the capital of culture logo on there instead, it just doesn't look right with nothing on the front of the shirt.

Eddie, you're right it does look like the Spain kit!

But I quite like it without Carlsberg, like when we played a french team in CL not so long ago, I thought it looked alright, BUT it will be weird with a different logo I think..
