Had to watch that on a sh*te stream so missed a lot of it thank God.What we need now is  positive response for the weekend. The support was magnificent again tonight, well done to everyone there. To be honest I will be more disappointed if we don't win comfortably at the weekend, for me the return chav game will take care of itself, we've nothing to lose so we go down there and all out attack. Keep the faith Redmen.

      |Why is that a stupid comment? I don't honestly think that we'll get through. So out of the remaining teams, Barca deserve it.

Because we're still in the competition and you hope for another team to win it? Hope we beat Chelsea first, buddy.

First thing, well done to Chelsea, they deserved to win by three to one. Martin Skrtel had been playing poorly for the last month so tonight's performance didn't surprise me, he has been second best to the ball a lot and his positioning has been poor, I was hoping to see Agger out there tonight but it wasn't to be.

I couldn't believe how the heads started to drop after they scored their second it was something I've not really seen under Rafa, so he has some work to do to get us ready for Blackburn.

If we come back from this in the second leg it'll be a miracle but stranger things have happened and one thing we cannot do is to give it up, we must go and give it everything and see if the players can redeem themselves.

We were out played tonight but it happens and in the long run it may do us more good than harm, it does show us we still need better players in a few places like a striker who can play with Torres as this game showed.

We need Gerrard in the middle in home games and we need more power up front, also we need Agger back and if his bridges have been burned I for one will think the team will be the worse for it........

Alot of stick for Lucas on here. But i think it was Aurelio that looked really poor. And I think Rafa got this wrong too. In the champions league we do well, when everything is really tight, esp the defence, going 1-0 and then sitting and making sure not to concede. The gung-ho attitude might work against man u, but clearly not against chelsea.
Having said that..........it's gonna have to be gung-ho now!

He is too lightweight, but he had pass completion of 80%. That's better than Alonso's, if I remember correctly.

Hate saying it but Essien was immense tonight havent seen Gerrard kept that quiet in a long while, don't want to blame individual players tonight but i thought Lucas looked out of his depth tonight, havent seen Lampard play that well against us in any of the previous ties. There was way to much space in our midfield.

I will always support our players but I have to say Lucas looked piss poor again tonight  :(

      No. Just no!
      Not again.

Just accept that we were terrible and that we lost to a better team.

Out-played, out-thought and not good enough.
But not out of the tie yet!

Alright having a good pass completion, you got to get the ball to pass it in the first place.

I'm not Lucas' biggest fan by any stretch and yes the fella was a walking disaster tonight but he wasn't alone and was by no means the worst on the pitch. Riera and Aurelio share that accolade.

Can't believe we played like that tonight, but you can guarantee we'll be nowhere near as bad in the second leg. We've got it all to do, but there's still 90 minutes to play, i'm obviously gutted but still staying positive.

      ???

That makes no sense. You hope he's right about what? Us being in the competition, which of course we are. Stranger things have happened than us beating Chelsea.
Or was it about you hoping we beat Chelsea?

No we don't, we just need mascherano back. Definetly don't want to see Gerrard sitting deep, its a waste.

Lucas' passing percentage was better but he missed 20 odd percent by passing 3 feet. His best ball of the game went out for a goal kick.

I don't really know why but I'm disappointed but not that much.

I'm confident we'll beat them 4-2 in a crazy game like the Arsenal QF last season.

This lot can do special things. We all know that so we must believe.

its no point blaming players now..
after 1-0 we got way too complacent..it was a feeling of being one of those games we'll roll on..
but we have to give credit to chelsea...
i mean i hardly remeber watchin gerrard..

      its one of those days..
all is it'll be too too harsh if we end up trophyless this season.. cause this season has been noin short of a dream run..
