Thought this thread might get a bumpski today.  Noticed quite alot of those today and that was only through my TV screen.  There's no way on this black earth I'd even consider buying a scarf with the word Everton on it, never mind holding it aloft at the game.

I have no problem with halfy half scarves being kept as souvenirs but holding them up at the game, especially the Everton ones, is just wrong IMO.

Huge fail these. People will seemingly buy any old sh*te at the match these days as part of their 'experience'.

They do them all the time now, although anyone remember those halfy half Liverpool/Everton scarves from just after Hillsborough!

They do them in the Club shop for every league game, although I was on about the ones that were brought out in 89.

I've got a Liverpool - Barca one from the Champions League game stashed nicely in me wardrobe

At the match, it's got to be a full Liverpool one   8)

Loads of them in the Lower Centenary today - all the Thomas Cook day trippers were wearing them - and blocking my bloody view again after wandering back from the lounges 5 mins into the second half - grrrrrrr

Bad post mate. To my knowledge the bond is there because of how Celtic responded after the Hilllsborough disaster, really top club in my eye's and I'm sure many others.

Could be more to it than that, not entirely sure, but that really cemented the relationship between the clubs.

On the halfy half scarve's, my opinion is they are fine as souveniers, but at the game they should just be Liverpool ones, nothing better than seeing a sea of Red in the Kop.

Thats not the issue here, the issue is day trippers and the sad state of the clubs desperation in making money out of what the majority of real fans think is a disgrace

The bond you F***ing idiot, is down to the memorial game that was our first game played after Hillsborough, when they collectively put the arms around our shoulders and that has continued through testimonials for Ian Rush, Ronnie Moran and the couple of Uefa cup games against them.

I know cos I met a load of them in Liverpool City Centre that day and had a good F***ing drinking session with them, no trouble, just lots of drinking and plenty of laughs.

Oh and haven't you heard the British have a new enemy, not the IRA but Al Queda!!!

Maybe you should join the rest of your Rangers brethren and form an alliance with those Chelsea wankers!!
