Liverpool's Jack Hobbs Set For Leicester City Move

Leicester City's on-loan central defender Jack Hobbs is set to make his deal at the Walkers Stadium a permanent one, according to The Sunday Mirror.

The youngster is currently on-loan from Premier League side Liverpool, and it is believed that the Foxes are hoping to tie up the deal in the summer transfer window.

Any deal involving the 20-year-old moving to the Walkers Stadium may end up relying on whether fellow Reds central defender Daniel Agger remains at the club or not.

The young Dane has been continually linked with moves to Italy's Serie A or Spain' Primera Division, after failing to establish a first team place at Anfield.

The 24-year-old has not been in contract talks until recently and, it is rumoured, that he will sign a contract extension with the club.

Agger has certainly stated his intentions to stay at Anfield, so a deal for Hobbs to go to Leicester may be on the cards.

Hobbs has been at Liverpool since 2005, after being spotted by Reds scouts playing for Lincoln City.

The Portsmouth-born defender has been on-loan to Scunthorpe United as well as Leicester, in order to gain some first team experience.

He has only played two first team games for the Reds since his arrival four years ago, but is still thought to be a star in the making.

Well done Jackie lad. You've helped them storm away with League 1 and would be really difficult to see you making the grade at Anfield with Carra/Sami/Skrtel/Dagger to get ahead of.

Best of luck at the Walkers mate.

Wish him the best of luck if he is to leave.

Might've got a chance if we didn't have four world class centre backs.

Great player, no room here but all the best with the Foxes. Deserves every bit of success.

Well why are we all saying he's gone already? Its only speculation isn't it. Sami will retire very soon, and he'll become 4th choice Centre Back, its up to him if he thinks he can push ahead of Carra who will become third choice behind Dagger and Skrtel quick enough to become a regular player at Anfield.
Although I do think he'll move away from Liverpool.

As we know the deal has been made permanent and he has signed a 4 year contract with Leicester City.
