Lets face it, I'm not going to say he's sh*t now he's gone, he's not, he's a great player... But maybe this is a blessing, he scored about 3 goals last season, and Masch didn't score any to memory... We need to replace Alonso with a passer who can score as well. He's 28 now, so 30 mill for a 28 years old is brilliant. Masch and Alonso both didn't score enough so lets by a holding mid who can.

I'm gutted he's gone, its a sad day... BUT, its good business I think, 28 and hardly scores, can't head a ball... but can pass like a legend. Lets move on and move up.

Its not a time to be sad, its not ideal coming up to the start of the season, but maybe we should be more optimistic.. we didn't lose the prem last year from losing games, it was from drawing too many! If we can add an extra 20 goals from somewhere maybe another 15 assists, all will be good I'm sure.

It almost seems like a non-event him going now it's finally happening. I don't feel any sadness really. He's contributed to the building of a great team, and now that he's going we'll have a big chunk of money to spend on someone else if we can get someone decent. Like I said before, let's not fritter that money away.

I know mate I'm quite optimistic and looking forward to see what Rafa has up his sleeve he's obviously not being spending for a reason so now I want to see what that reason was I'm expecting some good arrivals.
