I agree I think this has been Rafa's most dissapointing run in the transfer market.

I would have to place my vote also with Riera. I think he has shown on numerous occassions he has the quality to make that wing his, but has lacked consistency.

We surely can't put the blame of every single poor signing at Parry's feet, that would be unrealistic IMO. There is a whole system of scouting set up, players logged from all over the world at all stages of development.

However, from what I've come to understand, from what Rafa insinuated to the press through various interviews, is that Keane's signing was not down to him.

I think that had a knock-on effect, as with well over 50% of our transfer budget gone on one player, we then had to try and plug several other holes as cheaply as possible. One bad choice of target led to the various other failures or disappointments.

That being said, I still have trouble seeing how we came to spend a comparitively huge (by our standards) amount of money on Dossena? He has barely been used and didn't look like fitting in from day one. Hopefully just another blip in what should be an otherwise effective scouting system.

This summer will tell.

I've gone for Riera.

What an uninspiring list of signings, Riera is the only option really even though he's looked abit too fragile on occasions. I can't see Ngog setting the league alight to be honest.

Everyone else hasn't made any impact and this year we are better due to the coaching skill of Rafa and Sammy hopefully next season we get some useful signings who will help us win the league !

We've had a fairly poor summer in terms of signings. Riera has showed flashes of brilliance, but has been poor since December, N'gog looks like he's just finding his feet, Robbie Keane was shocking.

David N'gog, I voted for in the end. Riera put up a fight but isn't consistent enough.

sh*t signings really.

Voted for N'Gog, one for the future. Showed some good glimpses of his talent so far.

Keep working hard David and you'll be a decent player for us.

I can see why our output on players in after Keane was sold back came to 3.5 mill in total in season 08/09,, these owners want the title on the cheep, lets hope they put their hands in their pockets in the close season.

So after all the money we spent on players (according to one AF), I'm gona go for a player who cost very little in Ngog. One for the future but under Rafa's guidance, I've no doubt he'll turn out to be our best signing last season.

I voted for Riera, though N'gog has more future but as far as output this season Riera has been the only one who made any difference to the side though overall he had a okay season. Like many said the signings this season has been poor at best if it is poor players like Dossena or injury situation like Degen.

I went for Riera (or Rora as he is so commonly known! )

He initially gave us a new dimension to our play. It's not his fault we became attacking God's in the meantime but we noticed his influence quite quickly.

Well all of them were a bit disapponting but if I have to make a choice it would be Riera

reira without a doubt, created and scored some great goals, as well as giving us great width out on the left

Riera gets my vote. Started the season pretty well but started to fall back abit. And there was Yossi back on form. But overall i think Riera is our best signing of the season.

N'Gog for me.

Got a bit of stick at first but seemed to be showing signs of adapting during the latter half of the season.

Chipped in with a few goals too so hopefully it'll be another good season of progression for him next year.
