Your predictions for next season

First off, lets have your predictions for next season, I know transfers havent taken place yet, but lets get your predictions in early.....just for the fun of it

secondly,    who can we poach from them relegated teams, anybody fancy any newcastle players, or borough.
personally I like the look of ste taylor, and Martins, maybe downing for 6 mill.

If we could only win one thing next season then i would take the league

Our 19th title, 1 MORE than Scum & red nose will be pissed again  .
No overtaking in the fast lane.

 

The rest, whatever cups, the more the merrier.

Even though everyone is banging on about the league and despite being desperate for it too I wouldn't exactly be disappointed if we captured another Champions League trophy.

Having said that I think we have a brilliant chance of bringing the title home next season. Hopefully transfers will work to our advantage etc before the new season starts and I once again have great belief that we will do it.

My heart says we'll walk the league, and pick up another couple of trophies along the way.

My head says that next season will be as difficult as this one. We have as good a chance as any team to win the title, but I can't see it being anything other than a close-run thing. It'll be tough, but there's no reason we can't do it.

For me, the rest of the trophies are secondary, although I'm clearly not against the idea of us bring home shedloads of silverware!

Agree. I'm sure we will see a stronger Chelsea side, who finished the season as well as we did. I'm sure Arsenal will be much improved and I'm sure United will want revenge for our two victories over them.

Absolutely no question next season will be as difficult as this - we just have to push on. 

Who knows? Next season maybe 86 points would be enough.

Based on the fact we lost only twice this season and spent a large chunk of it without the Stevie/Torres partnership but still banged in the most goals you would have to say the title will arrive next season unless we implode

 I feel we are on the verge of greatness again (70s-80s)  and if RAFA can get his targetted signings then every other club had better watch out.I think our greatest challengers will be Chelsea,Arsenal and United in that order.

Coming season will be the toughest any of the top four sides will have ever seen.  

Arsenal only really need to make a few experienced signings and they can pose a serious threat as any; Manscum Utd who are seriously hurt over our victories will concentrate all their efforts on getting one(or two) over us.  Chelsea will be firing with the way they have capped off this season and with the FA Cup final all but theirs.

And then not to overlook the dangers that lurk with medium-small sized clubs, who have the ability to cause some serious upsets early on.  And I talk about a filthy rich Man City,  the current FA Cup finalists(hurts me to say who they are), West Ham, Villa, Tottenham etc.

Pack all that into one season we are in for one of the toughest years and it'd have to be our best performance yet under Benitez for us to win it.

just like a Merseyside Cup Final that did eventually happen, there is again, the strong possibility of a Champions League Final against the Mankers.
Third time unlucky for them.

Our lifetime opportunity to finally blow them into depressive oblivion and psychiatric meltdown for many, many, years.

a lot of confidence from our predictions, i agree, its surley our turn to flash the silver next year. I can see chelsea slightly falling though as they have now had too many changes in a short time, as i said before manure are due a change of luck, and arsenal will buy well and have arashavin who is class, maybe everton or villa can gatecrash the top 4 ahead of chelsea or Arsenal. A big season for Gerrard and especially jamie c who is running out of years to win the league, think he will be with us for 3 more years though, enough time for the league.

Also lots of predictions about the Champs league win, we have deserved to go further this year, but the draw was against us, it could just be the golden double next year, that would make me very happy indeed.

I feel we will win the league next season. Would be expecting a tougher challenge than this season but feel we will win it. Cant really comment on the cups..... but think the european cup will be difficult for the english teams next season as teams in europe will be stronger....

If we are to win the league next season then we have great momentum going into the season with only 2 defeats and unbeaten at home, just need to sort all these damn draws, but Silva will see to that

However, even though we drew a lot of games we would have won the league had we turned 2 of them draws into wins and the ones that stick out for me is the Arsenal 4-4 as we took the lead and it was at home and the one against Stoke quite early on because we had a perfectly good goal ruled out.

We will win everything we would play in.

To my mind, next season will be even harder than the past one; Man U will consolidate, Chelsea will strengthen and Arsenal can only get stronger. Tie in the Man City factor (every player will be more expensive) and anyone can see; winning the league won't be easy but that holds true for all teams.

However we have been on a learning curve and we now know that we can attack and destroy teams: we need not fear losing. If we can land a few good signings the formula may be complete and 19 will be on it's way home.

I also believe this to be the case. I think one or two signings, but even if we don't get them and we will win the league next year. I am almost so confident that we'll win the league that I would bet my parents house on it  
We will also win a minor cup, well there not minor but you know what I mean, something other than the Premier League/Champions League (F.A/Carling) and will make the semi final in the Champions League, beaten by a non English team who will then win the competition.

It all depends on how well the big teams do in the transfer window - one bad signing (Berbatov, for instance) and most of the budget is gone with not much return.

One good signing (Torres' first season, for instance) and you have a very good chance.


That's how managers earn their corn.

EPL, Champions League and F.A Cup for us if Rafa gets the signings he wants so we have enough depth to challenge on all fronts, failing that then i'd just be happy with the EPL as it's the one we covet the most.

ManUre will come a cropper.

Chelski won't be as strong at the start of next season as the reason they did so well in the latter half of this season was down to Guus Hiddink getting them motivated and playing well and he's now gone back to Russia so their new manager will have to impose his style on them and that'll take time i think.

Arsenal will be our biggest challenge i think particularly if they give Wenger some decent money to bring players in with. Arshavin will also be far better next season as he'll have adapted more and also they have excellent players waiting to come back from injury.

We're not even a week after the end of the season, and we are already making predictions for next season  

Why not make predictions for this summer's transfer activity first ?

Think we'll win the league though, we've got extra motivation to do it.

I think we'll have our best chance next year regarding we get a couple of quality players's in. (Silva? Johnson?)

Down at the bottom, without looking at signings - Hull are down.

If we get the right players and keep the right players i can see us winning all we possibly can.

I genuinley cant see us being beat next season.

Rafa will want to go out an win everything.

How sweet would that be.

No doubts next league season is going to be just as difficult, man u won't lay down, chelsea will be fighting to get back to the top and i'm sure arsenal will be wanting to improve a lot on this season but with that all said, we will be gunning for it and i think its definitely ours next season, it has to! I see the top four like this:

4. Chelsea.

But to be honest, i don't care what order they come in, as long as we win I'm happy.
Also, think that we will snatch another trophy elsewhere but which one, i don't know!

We will win the league next year, but the manc's will win the FA Cup or something because nature states they always need something to cling onto. Besides if we win the league but go crashing out in the 1st stages of everything else I couldn't care less about the cups as long as the premiership trophy is ours

I think next season will be just as tough as this one. If we learn from where we went wrong this season, we will just nick the title on the last day I think. United are a very good team you have to admit and getting 90 points is a huge achievement for them.

However I can't see them repeating that brilliant clean sheet streak they had in the middle of the season, which was crucial to them overtaking us.

We'll win the title but it will be very, very close.
