As for Di Maria, a player commanding such a big transfer fee you would expect to have more than 22 goals and about 40 assists during his time at one of the worlds most dominant clubs.

They need a right back, centre backs and centre mids but seem to think Di Maria is the answer to all of that. Good luck fitting him in with a poor combination of Mata, Rooney and RVP. I really hope they play Di Maria as a Wing Back too, that would be very funny to watch, he hasn't got a slightest clue how to defend.

Not sure what they're thinking over there. Everyone knew their defence was screwed, you can't lose Vidic, Evra and Ferdinand without properly replacing them.

Suspect Blind will come in for midfield but they still need more in there. They'll actually have to drop Mata if they want to persist with their current formation or play Di Maria at wing back as you say. It seems like absolute desperation at this stage, it's fantastic to see. If they don't make the CL this season, which I think they wont even be close, then with those wages they are going to be completely stuffed!

Instead they've signed Fellaini/Mata and are now looking to sign Di Maria.
These wont all play together.
