I'll say this about the League Cup. It's sh*t. We all know it is. But when you're having a sh*t time of it and the League Cup comes in just to exemplify that shittiness even more, then it's the f**king pits. Victories/Losses don't count for much and when you're going well in the league or in Europe. But when things are going tits up in the league and you go tits up in the League Cup then it's a toxic combo, just like our match against Northampton a few years back under Roy. And who can forget the gallows humour on here the night we played Carlisle, just weeks before Brendan's sacking?
