      Microsoft brands Merseyside ‘piracy hotspot’
Jul 7 2010  by Ben Rossington, Liverpool Echo

MERSEYSIDE was branded a piracy hotspot by computer giants Microsoft after catching shops selling their software illegally.

Microsoft has settled with 21 shops across the UK it found were loading its software onto computer hard discs and selling them illegally, often on the cheap to entice customers.

Of the 21, four were on Merseyside and one in Ellesmere Port.

Four traders who used eBay to sell their wares also admitted selling software illegally and settled with Microsoft.

Really....4 out of 21 is considered a "Hotspot" of piracy?

How about Hong Kong or Taiwan?  They sell Millions of bootleg and pirate software. I can go to 20 websites right now and download 7 or Vista.

How about fixing the "legal" versions which are still, to this day, collecting meta data off every single Windows machine during their security updates.
