My second choice would be "Honey Brown" and/or "Sam Adams".  I'd rather pay an extra buck or two for a good beer than force myself to choke down a sh*t lager.

Have you tried the Guiness Foreign Export?  That is a beer & a half.

5 in the morning here, drinking a Bailey's rip-off at present, but in my defence I have drunk everything else in the house, excluding the creme de menthe and this chocolate liqueur, Creme de Cacao.  I am thinking about mixing these three together, I'm thinking of I get the quantities right, it may very well taste like an alcoholic mint aero.

Unfortunately, we don't get any of the special editions, etc. We get straight-up Guinness only. I wasn't even aware they did anything like Foreign Export until I was over a few years ago.

And, oh yeah. It's become completely cliche to say it, but the Guinness here is so far below the quality over there. Still good, mind you, & you won't find me turning a pint away.

I was literally addicted to the 'Strong' one when i was living/working back home. F**k i miss those.

Erm on topic I can see why Guiness would have that effect Kenny, it really is an acquired taste. Though Laura loves Guiness, but absolutely hates coffee So i'll have to ask her what she thinks of your assessment.
