He's played it in Belfast and Cardiff. Seems like it'll be on the main set.
The new album tracks are fantastic live as I had hoped. Played 4/5 in Belfast.
Fantastic. Saw it performed last year in Edinburgh and it was one hell of a moment. The middle eight contains maybe my favourite ever Springsteen lyrics / moment of a song ever.
"There's spirits above and behind me
Faces gone black, eyes burning bright
May their precious blood bind me
Lord, as I stand before your fiery light"
It's absolutely spine tingling and transcendent. Made all the more remarkable as it's from the perspective of a fire fighter in the Twin Towers about to meet his fate. I've never heard a song that has tackled such a traumatic experience with the level of redemption and deliverance he did in this tune. I'm not even religious but I'm pretty sure The Boss ventured somewhere on that song that few priests have ever managed to get to. So so special.
Love The Rising, Wrecking Ball and The Wrestler.
Loads more others that I can't remember off the top of my head right now.
Absolutely adore The Wrestler as well. Bruce really knows how to express the thoughts and feelings of the world weary / beaten man on this planet.
