      Reclaim your Bank Charges
      Feb 21, 2007 02:30:52 pm
We've all done it, gone overdrawn, exceeded our overdraft limit, paid the credit card late and received a bank charge / fee.
Usually these fee's are highly extortionate ranging between £10 - £30 a time.
Now, you can claim back all these charges from the past 6 years. (why just the last 6 years I don't know)

Trust me this is real and you can claim your bank / credit card charges back.
I have just sent off to my bank's and credit card company's requesting either all default charges I have incurred over the past 6 years or a full statement of the 6 year period.

This was on watchdog not so long ago, and breakfast tv this morning.

Here is a link that will explain all.

Now is the time to claim your money back.
Good luck (and no I'm not on commission)

      Proper good call this Tommo!!!
I'm defo looking into it. I remember watching a report on it back in December on BBC2. I think the reason why it's only the last six years is because of the fella who originally took his bank to court and won, was six years ago. Therefore a change in the law from that point onwards. I might be wrong, but I think that's what was said on that report.

Here's another link from the BBC....

Damn I thought I was gonna be innocent in all this :P Hehe. It was only by £10 and it's cos I had to eat for the last week of term and pay rent for December.. ::)

Anyway, if that's true, it's well good!

I got hit for £120 one month a couple of years ago - was overdrawn and about 5 bills came out on five consecutive days.

Typical English tho - still with the same bank....HSBC by the way.

go to HSBC and ask for either a statement over the past 6 years or for all default charges in the last 6 years.
work out how much they've charged you and send in a letter claiming this amount (letters can be found in the link in the first post) - you will get all your charges back !!
spread the word and enjoy spending that 'lost' money.
