Caught Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin's Steve Jobs on Netflix just earlier. Was surprised how much I enjoyed it - Michael Fassbender was absolutely superb in the lead role.

I need to watch that sh*t, thanks for reminding me. Anything Fassbender is in automatically gets a watch from me!

It's great. Agree on Fassbender but the standout for me was Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman.

If that's the case then I promise you, you'll love this performance.

Agreed, she was fantastic. The perfect foil to Fassbender's Jobs.

      A Quiet Place.
A film  told more or less in virtual silence, there is talking but it's either signed or whispered ,there is No exposition: the viewer is simply dropped right into the film so no opening montage or narration, Glimpses of newspaper headlines are all you get regarding the story so  We know as much as the characters do.
This film had me on my toes as much as the characters ,the tension is relentless and never lets go.
One hell of film & for horror fans it is a must see film

Wife and I hit an advanced screening of this over Easter and absolutely loved it. As you said, the show don't tell way of smart exposition worked perfectly. As an audience you don't need a broader sense of how, why - some of the fun is wondering just what happened to end up here. This story is about the family and how they deal with the situation. That's where the real scariness comes from - it's done so well that you really care about the family, and besides the smart directing to build that tension constantly, the care you have for the characters and wanting them to survive really makes the horror real.

A refreshingly great film in this day and age of retreads. Who knew Jim Halpert would turn out to be such a great director?

      Watched Zombieland again last night.

Love it and has one of the greatest cameos ever in it. Hilarious.

Watched two Netflix Horror/Thrillers last night - 'The Ritual' & '1922'

Would recommend both for those of a similar movie loving mindset to me.

      Caught READY PLAYER ONE yesterday.

Good film, a little Willy Wonka-ish

      Watched Infinity War last night.

      Hated it.

That's all I'll say in the interest of spoilers. And for those that saw it, I didn't hate it for what might seem like the "obvious" reason(s). I just didn't buy what they were selling.

Damn, now you are making me worried! Was suppose to watch it on Thursday, but couldn't, so will probably watch it next weekend.

Just curious, how did you rate the other Marvel films? More specifically, the other Avengers movies + Civil War? Civil War for me is probably the best Marvel film and probably my #1 comic book film.

I really liked Civil War. Really loved Ragnorak, GotG 2 was probably my favorite of all of them. In general like all the MCU movies. Favorite Avengers are Cap and Thor.

As I’ve talked to some folks let me revise my opinion.....if you watch it with the thought that it’s the first of two movies, then maybe I can soften my stance on it. The movie itself, the action, the dialogue and what not were fantastic, I’ll withhold any more details. You shouldn’t be worried because of my view of it, I can be hard to please 😆
