Just released from Chelsea. 33 years old. German captain. Hugely experienced. Would not need a transfer fee. Worth a look?

33 years old. Wants lots of money probably.

      No.

Is their any actual source saying we have looked at him? If not, i don't think this is deserving of its own thread.

Apparently Mourinho wants to pair him and Gerrard alongside each other for Real! Imo, he would be decent for us if Gerrard was to go... And then maybe focus on getting a quality striker with the proceeds...

Nah, not for me. That isn't because he played for Chelsea either, i just simply think it would be a bad move, 33 and has been past his best for the last few seasons now.

There is a distinct lack of source in this thread.

I have to reopen the thread about Ballack since some german newspapers linked him to Liverpool FC who - according to these newspapers - is "interested in him" along with Madrid, Lerverkusen & Schalke (and another PL club I don't remember, it may was ManCity).

Ballack is still in good shape for at least 3 top years. His character is just class. He may seem a bit shy or unmotivated from distance, but he's very loyal and appreciates good fans. Liverpool needs world class players like him. One thing one could blame Rafa is that he didn't bring in more top class players like Torres or Alonso. He "experimented" too much (due to the lack of money of course).

I don't think we'll have a shot at Ballack since Mourinho knows about his class and will lure him to Real, but IMHO Liverpool should try something. I don't think our current roster is suited for a championship-competition at all.
