      Problem with CD/DVD Drive
      Jul 14, 2009 07:45:23 pm
I've had no problems at all with my PC, but suddenly it's forgot it's got a CD/DVD drive.

It'll open/close, etc. But it doesn't even spin the disc, doesn't recognise that there's anything happening.

Anyone else had a similar problem at all? And if so, how the f*ck do I sort it as I need some new tunes on CD for the car! :D

I'm going to look for the drivers, see if that helps.

If not, it's insured by PC world. Might just lie to them that it's a Blu Ray RW drive. ::)

I had a problem with my USB drives, all disapeared, went through everything, and I mean everything, last resort was the Recovery Disc. Had to save everything on to CD's, as DVD's were not recognised. 23 CD's later, Resored everything, PC good as new, and USB's were back!

Hope it is not the same thing, good luck.

Just trying to write the new Kasabian album onto a disc and it's started being a tit again. Not my week for technology methinks. :D

      It's not the CD/DVD drive.

      It's you.

Reckon your CD/DVD drive is knackered Joey.  Get it repaired or rip it out and buy a new one.
