So the F1A admit a problem but say we will let the teams come up with a solution. If the Sport is damaged its down to them to come up with a solution.

This 'misunderstanding' was on the part of their man in the hot seat, Masi, who changed his mind at a critical moment and apparently at the urging of Horner in order to make a spectacle of the event and of himself. It is this same 'misunderstanding' that provoked arguments which have tarnished the image of F1 and damaged the integrity of the competition.

Dead right. Unbelievably Christian Horner came out in a press conference today and said that 'Michael is trying his hardest'. Yet when he was on the losing side in Saudi Arabia over a week ago (conveniently forgetting that they got off the hook for blatant illegal/dangerous driving of Verstappen) he was crying to the media how 'it's on days like these that we miss Charlie Whiting'.

They're saying that Masi doesn't have the support or structure around him that Charlie Whiting had. Which is a pithy excuse for the complete cock up he made on Sunday as that stands in isolation of any 'structure or support' when it is as glaring as it was. It sounds like a desperate PR campaign to make excuses for his failings.

they will probably lay the blame at Red Bull and Mercedes door for pressurising Masi which suits RB but not Merc. They could declare the Race Void which suits RB but not Mercedes.
If Mercedes let this go they will lose a lot of followers to you simply cannot have a situation were Merc spend £2-300 mil only to have some jumped up clerk destroy their years work on a whimm because he want to see a 1 lap race with two cars that are not evenly matched.

Biggest cock up was merc not pulling Hamilton in for tyres they did the same thing race before but got away with it then , glad the titles changed hands makes it a bit more spicy for next year might even watch some of it .

Another bit of radio that f1 chose not to broadcast and hide away. All of a sudden they became very selective with the broadcasting of only some messages!

F1 and FIA should be ashamed of themselves. They're supposed to be independent of each other but both of them seemed to be in cahoots with each other on Sunday. Which, as Andrew Benson from the BBC noted, goes against European Commission ruling that the commercial interests bleeds with the legislative arm of the sport. Desperate state when the FIA threw the rule book away to serve Liberty's obsession to milk as much drama and action out of the sport regardless of whether it's real or fake.

Not really as Verstappen would have just stayed out and got track position. Red Bull had the fortune of being to do whatever Mercedes didn't.

Even the first one when I thought Mercedes fu**ed up on the VSC was the right call as Lewis was comfortably holding on for victory before Latifi went off.

Exactly. If Lewis had come in, Red Bull would have kept Max out. Max would be leading and on much fresher hard tyres than Lewis was on at the time. Why the hell would anyone do that especially with the high likelihood that at that late stage, the assumption was that it would end under the safety car. Mercedes did the right thing in keeping him out. This notion that the cock up lies with Merc on a strategy front is f**king desperate.

And I'm pretty sure that if Lewis was in second on soft rubber behind all those lapped cars, the race would have finished under safety car conditions? Why? I'm pretty certain that Masi would have saw it as getting equal for the doubt in his mind for letting Lewis cutting the corner against Verstappen go by without penalty (on first lap).

Lewis had to defend two corners I think it was , and left a gap you could have driven a truck through , Hamilton on sh*t tyres should have been able to defend those corners ,

And your point not like Lewis hasn’t used his team mates in the past they all do , not like Lewis hasn’t backed cars up they all do , he’s had his fair share of luck concerning safety cars .

Oh please, don't be silly. Max on soft tyres could easily have gone on the inside or around the outside such was his superior levels of grip. If you'd bothered to watch the sport outwith last Sunday's race you'd know that.

You saying he couldn’t have blocked him for two corners , if his tyres were as shot as you say they should have pulled him in and had a shootout , he did have the best car I believe,  seen plenty of drivers defend a lead before when they have had better behind them

I only stopped watching the sport when it became a procession, watched it all the time when it was what I considered proper racing ,

So you're saying to me that Hamilton on cold, hard tyres that have done well over 40 laps, up against Max on brand new soft tyres, with greater heat generation, and in the slipstream... should have defended that lead.

What the f**k are you on?

Just so I don’t go for the Hammy love in there’s no need to get pissy , I already said he should have changed his worn out tyres , or is that someone else’s fault that he didn’t , how do you know what the temperature of both sets of tyres was ?

They couldn’t do that without losing track position Andy, Max was always on the better tyre as he came in twice for fresher tyres. Simple truth is if the stewards had done there job properly Hamilton World Championship.

From the sound of it every drivers team radio  we’ve  heard all feel for Hammy. Millions will quite righty say Max won his first Championship under false pretences.
