Im gonna hold judgement this is pre season which means F**k all, athletico madrid game will be the one to watch and that will give us a true idea where we are as a team, should know by the who is in who is out.A good kick up the backside will do the trick.

I haven't seen the game yet as I don't like using streams. Hate watching footy on the laptop.

So I was gonna tune into lfc.tv to see the match, although after a quick butchers over the match thread, doesn't look like there's much point in doing so. The general gist was we were dreadful. Very few bright points.

Although no doubt it'll be usual excuses "it's only pre-season"

Pre-season or not, a loss is a loss.

Absolutely abysmal display, worst I've seen yet. Lucas was easily our best player.

Nothing to do with or without Alonso. We were lacking up front and when it came to it we defended awfully. Hopefully this is the last time he runs with the youngsters now, especially with 2 games to go until Spurs.

Do not watch DLS, id rather watch a whole season of Sex and the City than that game again.
Its only pre-season, but then manure have turned out decent quality so what does that say?

That was absolutely shocking stuff, no one stood out for us. Defensively we were a disaster, we got nothing off our midfield, and it just shows the argument that we don't need another striker due to having Gerrard and Torres is a joke. We have absolutely nothing on the bench.

I know its a pre season game but we are two weeks from the start of the season we need to see a lot more than we saw tonight. It was a shambles. We expect to challenge for a title but with what we saw tonight its hard to be optimistic. The Alonso situation needs to be sorted quickly as well because we badly need reinforcements if we are going to mount a challenge.

That could have easily been 5-0, that shouldn't be happening to a team who are supposed to be challenging for the Prem

It is impossible to raise your game to prem. standards in a friendly. It is a pain in the arse playing these games and the lads will be alright when it counts, They are trying to reach match fitness without injury, which will always be in their minds whilst they play in these meaningless money spinners. Better they were played behind closed doors with no cameras. I would say this if we won 3-0.

Maybe the first half squad plus Agger and Skrtel and we could have been acting more like a squad.

Anyone know where Agger was? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I've been kind of out of touch internet-wise. :-/

When you play in a shirt that has the crest of Liverpool FC on it, you damn well play to win. There is no excuse, nor will there be ever, for a loss in that shirt.

FFS, this is hard to take. Premier League contenders shouldn't be losing 3-0 to any team. I just hope we can improve enough in the 2 weeks we have left.

If we lost 2-0 and played well i wouldn't mind but we lost 3-0 and didn't play at all it was a horror show out there i am so disappointed this game was hyped up so much and then we just misfired on all cylinders.
