Great result - these are the ones I hated last season, at 6pm I would have taken 1-0 but this is much sweeter.

Lucas packs way more movement that Xabi ever did!

This guy has my full back always liked him, but its really delightful seeing his hard work paying off so well. Would have been so nice if he had scored...

As for Voronin, he came on looked very nifty and active. He seems upto to it really, he might be the cheap impetus we need for the lesser games to rest Nando.

What can I say about N'gog, I have been supporting him since day dot. Good that he got in with the goals, he showed a bit of pace and urgency in the right direction towards the goal. Passed the ball and tried to be intricate which is nice to see, he'll improve with more experience definitely!

Glen Johnson man of the match, proving his worth already that is very nice to see! He looks a definite threat every time he attack, we talked about him being able to break down the smaller teams like Stoke. He surely did it today, a spectacular goal to go with.

F***ing love Rafa!!!  Just seen on his post match interview he said he'd no intention of leaving as he promised the fans he would stay. Hate the bullshit that people stir up when it comes to our club!

they just said on 5 live that Liverpool still have question marks about them, even though we won 4-0, and it was only stoke.

typical.  if united had beat stoke 4-0, the media would have been saying that they are purring back to life and they played like champions.  with us there's always a but............

On the train on the way back from the game now, feeling great. Very good result that, the team as a whole was brilliant. Are people going to write off the mancs now that they lost tonight?! Really happy with that performance though, a huge improvement on last year.

The early goal was vital and we went for the jugular from the first whistle. Excellent attitude.

That put us in a good frame of mind for the game ahead and boosted the confidence, which was clear to see throughout the team. From the back, Ayala kept his cool which was the main thing and settled in as the game progressed. Lucas was really good and his movement really helped Mascherano to start having a big influence - Mascherano was brilliant in the second half.

Gerrard was superb. And displayed a piece of sheer brilliance for setting up Kuyts goal.

And Johnson gets my man of the match. Took his goal really well and made that right side of the pitch all his.

The main thing was, that team performance was something that we needed. We got the Spurs game out of our system and proved to ourselves that we can pass the ball with intelligence and a high tempo.

      It's good to be back!
