Anyone who has seen his hunger, ability, control, turn of pace, awareness, strength and good looks in the last few games must realise this guy is class....he is EXACTLY what we need...he will change and improve our team....after all isn't that what we want from any new player? TEVEZ is the man we must sign!

I like Eto'o a lot but if its one or the other i would like Villa to sign, the lads got close on a fifty percent goal ratio for Valencia (not Barca or Madrid!) and has got 10 in 22 for his country. What is worrying though is Chelsea hovering in the wings, now although we do now have money i dont think we are going to pay silly money and Chelsea are bound to inflate his fee.

Villa for me too, what's actually even more impressive is he has a one in two ratio throughout his CAREER, which includes Real Zaragoza & Sporting De Gijon. There are other areas we need to improve, but to be honest we've created chances all season, if someone was finishing them we'd be in a great position right now, probably challenging for the league.

IMHO i think Villa will be at Valencia next season and then the season after that. He said he don't want to come to Liverpool who have all the Spanish speakers so for sure won't go to Chelsea.

David Villa is quality he can take free kicks from 35 yards and score them most times.. just absolute quality this player.

I really like Villa but his price will be far over the top, as you said Glenbuck the fact that chelsea are interested, Valencia will play on that and hope for a record transfer fee. Therefore my choice is Eto'o, he is strong, frightening pace and his finish is top class, a classic Camerounese player strong in the air better then drogba in my opinion. With the Villa transfer this summer which will take the front page everywhere, we could get a really good deal for Eto'o especially if we managed to sell someone the other way, Glanbuck somewhere else mentionned possibly a move for Xabi and I go along with that.

I'd agree with you there Court, he hasn't produced the goods so far. People will argue that neither did Mascherano, but unlike him Tevez has had playing time. He was superb over the weekend though, I might reconsider if he can prove it wasn't a one off.

He does say all the right things but he doesnt say he wont come so who knows.


David Villa says that he is "flattered" by Liverpool and Chelsea's reported interest in him, like a timid girl blushing when offered a drink for the first time.

The 25-year-old, who has been at Valencia since 2005, made comments that are of the familiar "could-be-interpreted-in-any-number-of-ways" variety.

"They are both big teams and have a lot of attraction," he said.

"Liverpool don't just have a coach in Rafael Benitez who is Spanish but I also have a lot of friends there.

"When Rafa was coach at Valencia and I was at Zaragoza there was contact about me joining Valencia but I could not arrive until the year after he left.

"The talk about the Premiership is flattering and it makes you see that if you are doing things well other teams should become interested in you," he added.

Tevez is not as good as Villa but if he came to Liverpool he would score many more goals that at WestHam

If they get relegated then we should put a bid in asap when the market opens, sure he won't cost much for a classy player. Then sell Bellamy to Aston Villa for same price we buy Tevez for
