      FM 10 v CM 10
      Sep 07, 2009 07:54:03 pm
FM has always been in front of CM, but this year its much closer :P
Having played + completed the CM10 demo, i think its good, very good
The new training is great i love it :P also the correct values of players, eg Messi = £75mil, oh and the 3d match stuff is good, but sometimes the players make massive mistakes or have a huge touch.

And also seeing alot of the pre-release info on FM10 that also looks good, but rather sameish :P
The depth is still the same and is overall still a great game

So overall the perfect game for me would of course be to combine the two, the training, and player values of CM, and the rest of FM as the depth and stuff like that is relatively the same as CM, oh and combine both the 3D match engines

And there we have it, perfect :P
      Thoughts?

FM 09 had the 3d match engine and to be honest it's sh*te. So I can't see meself being over impressed by it on Champ Man.

Champ Man is a poor version of Footy Manager, so to cut a long post short I'll be getting FM 10 and leaving Champ Man 10 for others to enjoy.

Yeah there's probably no point with FM if you've got a good game going and you've done a few seasons.

      Cheers lad!

Seeing as I don't have FM 09 I might get 10... to distract me from Uni work!

Might try the Demo if i get the time jonty, see how it feels. FM just seems to have more to it though.
And FM will also be a way to get away from my College work when it starts, although im afraid of how much its gonna distract me :D

CM has a software in it called Prozone, it is used by top managers around the world and it will be in the game. I heard that Prozone is a very intelligent data analysis software, and from the screenshots I've seen CM definitely looks very good and even much better than FM. I also look for a different change as compared to that of FM.

Even though FM has been at the forefront of footy management sim, but I do think that CM has put a lot of work into this and it might be a huge success. I will get to playing the 2 demos before making a decision.

Jonty, is there any The S*n adverts in CM, though?

Prozone has been in CM for a bunch of years now. I never really used it that much though. The analysis might be good, but the gameplay itself wasn't. That made the analysis itself quite useless too.  It was really easy to be a succesfull coach, I remember taking a club from the Conference straight to the Premier League, which si fun only once really. But it does look like they improved the game. Would be good for FM to get some real competition.

Seems like its really doing my nuts in.

I can't get it started or anything. I get into the game and then when I reach that blue part whereby the game loads from 0%, it minimises and tells me that the thing has stopped working.

It was impressive at first. With all the aminations at the front I thought I was in for a ride.

And even before it could open it crashed. 10 times I tried and 10 times it happened. Hopefully that £2.51 isn't to buy sh*t.
