100 Premier League goals a possibility or just a dream

With just seven games in the Premiership  already played, I was wondering what the possibility of the Reds notching up 100 goals in the Premiership alone. I fully realise not all opposition are as easy to take apart as Hull and injuries to key players are always a worry, but it would be nice to think with all the attacking flair possessed by Liverpool this could be a distinct reality.

It would be nice to think we could do it, a lot depends on whether Torres can stay pretty well injury free all season as we haven't really got anyone else to take up the mantle if he does get injured, apart from Gerrard of course.

I think we scored about 77 goals last season, so to hit 100 would be very hard

Obviously Voronin needs to start more if we're going to achieve this.

More concerned about winning the league than scoring 100 goals.

If we score 100 goals this season in the league, then we will have won the league. I can't see us scoring that many and not winning unless we are drawing 4-4 a bunch.

We won't get 100. I think a better goal of measuring how well we will do, is being able to score in every single game. We have so far, I think we should just try and keep that up.

EDIT: Just to put it into perspective, that's 2.63 goals a game. Right now we are on 3.14.

Not impossible but really unlikely. We scored 77 goals last season. Probably need to score almost 3 goals a game to achive that.

Would be great though but I just want number 19.

Funny thread, no idea if we'll score 100, but so long as our forwards keep knocking them in I'll be happy.

Records are there to be broken, but even with Nando staying fit getting a team to score that amount of goals will be tough, not all teams play like Hull, if they did we would walk it.....

If Nando stays fit and playing like he did againt Hull, I think he should be aiming for 100 this season himself

At the rate we are going then of course it's possible, why not?

Think about it this way. Last season Nando scored (17?) goals, was half the season injured. If this season he keeps fit, then he can probably score another 20 or so. That's 37. He's got 8 now. 29 more to go in 31 games. Nando-listic wise I think it's possible.

If we keep up the scoring rates for other positions, defenders get on the scoresheet a bit more often then I'm sure we'll get there.

However the Premier League is the priority but if we get 100 EPL goals then definitely we would have won the league as well. They go hand in hand.

Thats not going to happen then Gow as JD'S crystal ball has already said "Oh no", when asked about Voronin scoring this season

I think 100 goals is acheivable, but how ever I do not think we'll do it allthough I'd love it if we did as I reckon that would certainly bring the title home, but I'd gladly take 70 aslong as the 19th came home.
