The magic 7-0 against Tottenham in September 1978, one of my first matches, never forget Terry Mac scoring that last goal,
Me too, Glorious hot day!http://www.lfcreds.com/reds/index.php?topic=11112.0Highlights of the game
Thanks RedPuppy, I enjoyed that, that last goal was sublime was it not?I was just thinking' biggest wins you attended'......... could well be Sunday's match against Newcastle, rightly or wrongly, I'm expecting a hatfull
What games did you go to that had the biggest wins for the Mighty Reds?My two:23/09/1986 League CupR2 1st LegFulhamAnfield10-0Rush 2 (8, 76), Wark 2 (10, 63), Whelan (28), McMahon 4 (44, 66, 71, 79), Nicol (83)And12/09/1989 League Division 1Crystal PalaceAnfield9-0 Nicol 2 (7, 90), McMahon (15), Rush (45), Gillespie (56), Beardsley (61), Aldridge (pen 67), Barnes (79), Hysen (82) Good Times!
They are the two biggest wins that I have been to as well. I went home from the 10-0 Fulham win gutted that Steve McMahon missed a penalty too! (Rush also hit the post 4 times!!!!). One of my favorite stories in football came from that night, The attendance was only about 24,000 and the fulham fans sang all night! Their song gave birth to a Fulham fanzine that is still going strong to day! the song "There's only one F'in' Fulham" the fanszine changed slightly to "There's only one F in Fulham"!
They are the two biggest wins that I have been to as well.
Erm.... Liverpool - Crewe Alexandra, sept 08, 2 - 1An enormous result, taking our red men from 3rd round in the Carling Cup to get knocked out at White Hart Lane seven weeks later...
