Less than 7 weeks to go now.
WTF?  Who sent you that?  I always get early ones from Counsellors and the local church, but not that early  :o

Are any Christmas lights and decorations up around anyone yet?  I met a friend for lunch yesterday just off Carnaby Street, and they've got some really good ones again.  Lots of huge inflatable shapes with LOVE, PEACE, HOPE and stuff printed on them and multi coloured christmas trees hanging everywhere.  On Carnaby Street itself they have hung up two massive bright pink inflatable reindeer.  They actually look boss head on to be fair, until you walk past them, and turn around and see where the blow up hole is.  Charming ;D  They could have put the holes underneath ;D

They've already got the lights up that go across the avenue here. Too soon I say.

When does everyone put their decorations up then?

We usually do it a week/two weeks before.

There's always some that do it around this time though which in my opinion is stupid - too early!

There's a house right next to the train station that I get on at to go to Uni which always goes to town on the decorations. Great laugh it is - the house is literally covered in fake snow, there's a huge sledge thing on the roof, lights all over the trees, garden and roof, hundreds of objects stuck to the brick walls, any Christmas object under the sun.

There's always one isn't there that goes completely over the top  :lmao:

I usually put mine up 2 weeks before Christmas, and leave them up till Epiphany.

I normally put them up around 6th/7th December, makes the house look nice  ;D

Few years back, I was driving along East Prescot Road  (opposite Burger King) and there was a house there that had put cotton wool over the entire front lawn to make it look like snow  :lmao:   You should of seen it a couple of weeks later after rain, hail etc and being on the main road it was also covered with sh*te off the passing traffic....very attractive I must say.....not.  :D :D

Christmas decorations! I bought toilet paper with tiny snowmen on today!!!! Maybe not that christmassy, but they do have santa caps on! AND they looked very, uhm, jolly. Cause thats what you're like during christmas. Jolly.

(Should this be in the random comment thread instead?)

Eitherway, my lovely toilet paper made me realise christmas is not that far away. And just yesterday i thought the frost came pretty early this year! So, now I'm a bit.............jolly.

      Not this year.

Actually, this may be the first year I haven't had one - I can't remember whether I did last year.
