Someone's mentioned it to me that England lost on purpose so Ukraine, needing only 1 win from the last game, can qualify for the play-offs in Croatia's expense. Croatia, well, beat England to Euro 2008.

      Highly doubt that.

Him.  Sorry, I tend to ignore the opposition.  My bad.

Any news on how Agger got on?  Can't believe he was playing.

Half time 0-0. Masch is having a shocker, but Insua is playing really well. Messi is breathtaking.

Think Masch is doing well barring Messi and the left winger he has being Argentina best player.

Argentina get the result they needed but really Peru is a terrible team which shouldn't need last minute goals to beat but the big game is going to be their trip to Uruguay on Wednesday.

I watched it on foxtel on sunday night. Wonders whether England were helping Croatia out of the tournament.

Putting all my support to Skrtel and the Slovaks, they have a tough game away to Poland but if they win they will be in the first world cup or major tournament in any case.

Here in South America all people talk about is Uruguay x Argentina.

All the 60k tickets were sold in 1 day, the legendary Centenario stadium will be full with an intense atmosphere.

Whoever wins will be in the World Cup next year. If it's a draw, Argentina qualifies. The loser will play the playoff against Concacaf, unless Ecuador beats Chile - in this case, Argentina or Uruguay could finish 6th and stay out of the World Cup.

I can see Uruguay beating Argentina (considering how crap their current form is), but I highly doubt Ecuador will beat Chile, since their record away from home is really really poor and Valencia is not playing. Anyway, chileans hate argies even more than we do, haha, maybe they could play it easy ;D Their coach is Argentine though, so I don't think it will happen.

Anyway... COME ON URUGUAY! COME ON ECUADOR!

I know I'll be the only one here who wants Argentina to lose, and I apologize for that - I love Masch and Insua, I just would love even more to see Argentina and Maradona crying for that  :( Sorry!

Slovak's are up 1-0 to an own goal, Skrtel isn't playing anyway due to suspension. Sotirios is also playing for Greece who are two up at the moment and look to be going to the World Cup. Yossi and Riera are also starting for their nations

Come on San Marino!  You can score 5 against Slovenia then Northern Ireland can beat the Czechs and we'll get a play off place.  Has anything stranger than that ever happened? :D

Well done Slovakia! Hope they can surprise a few next year.

I've got a late morning train tomorrow, so I might stay up and watch the Argentina match. Come on Argentina!
