It would have to be King Kenny without a doubt.

There's so many! Emlyn Hughes would have to be up there. Would love to sit and listen to the great man tell many stories of games gone by. And King Kenny, the more drink I had with him, the better chance of understanding him speak  ;). Defo Aldo!! I reckon he'd drink me under the table though... Sounds like he has a wee tipple commentating on Radio City every Saturday... ;D

DM Osbon, I know what you mean about Paisley mate. My grandad didn't look like him as much, but he reminded me of him, in his mannerisms.

Intersting! Personally I could not understand him sober, imagine him drunk! for me just don't know, so many but for sure they all played in the late seventies early eighties.

Third thread I've read started by you, and third time I've seen it's just a one liner with no opinion offered by yourself.

Please, please, please! Can people start thinking a bit more before they start new topics. TBH this isn't a bad topic, but you need to be giving your own opinions, offering a platform for discussion to develop from. I like to think we could have some decent discussion on here, not like you get on the .tv boards, in case any of you haven't been on there, it goes a little something like this:

Poster#1: What do you think of Kuyt?
      Poster#2: I think he's good
      Poster#3: I agree with poster#2
      Poster#1: So do I

If the initial poster were to write 'What do you think of Kuyt? Personally I think he's good because........' this would set the tone and the responses would in general be a lot more detailed. I know I might sound like a whinging b@stard, but we're Liverpool, not Chelsea FFS, I expect us to have a bit more class & knowledge.

Anyone who was buying!!! No - just joking.

For my generation, there are two people I'd love to have sat and talked with, had a couple of pints with and just generally listened to what they had to say about the game we all love.

If it only it were possible, I'd love to have a couple of hours with Bill Shankly and Matt Busby. What a pair of footballing giants !! What they didn't know, eat, sleep and breathe about the game I wouldn't want to hear. RIP two legends.
