Most under-rated players throughout the world

Now as we have the most over rated players throughout the world thread, I thought maybe it was about time we had the most under rated thread to see what you ladies & gentleman come up with in terms of players that are extremely good at what they do but seemingly because they don't have the right, Girlfriend, Looks, Hair cut, Fashion Range etc etc they basically do not get the recognition they deserve.

I'm going to start with one of our very own in Jamie Carragher, now we all know Carragher has pretty much been Mr Consistency for us over the years how ever I do not feel he has ever received the acclaim he deserves outside of Anfield. Whether that be England managers or opposing fans IMO Carragher has never received the public recognition of say John Terry or Rio Ferdinand, two players that play in the same position that Carragher is easily every bit as good as. Plus he's got a Champions League winners medal to boot.

According to the mancs he's the most over rated player in the world

I would say iniesta imo one of thebest players in the world,Essien,cant thinkof many at the moment

I'd have to go with his counterpart tho in Jermaine Defoe, class player IMO but very rarely draws the plaudits or the attraction from clubs that he should.

Totally agree. Reina is one of the best keepers in the world, but not many non-LFC fans would say that - while Cech will consistently make mistakes and still be said to be the very best one.

As for Agger, when he's not injured, I rate him as one of the best defenders in Europe. He is that good, in my opinion.

Benayoun silenced his crictics by proving to be a great player, but a lot of people are yet to realize that. Aurelio is also very underrated.

Pepe Reina. Never seems to get the plaudits outside of Liverpool despite the golden glove awards basically every season, and only just missed out last year.

Robin Van Persie is a player ive always rated at Arsenal, but never seen him grab the headlines like the c**t partner he used to have in Adebeyor.
Ireland at Man City somewhat as well. And i saw Clint Dempsey mentioned, good one that.
