Tony Barrett is a red and very good journo in my book. I remember him having a bit of stick on here in the past - ironically not long after that scumbag rat ran off down south to the scum on Sunday - but look where Barrett is now. Drawing logical, honest, fair based debate up on a national scale where the reds are concerned, without having to explain his reasons for leaving the Echo - unlike Bascombe.

Best of luck to Tony and it was good to see him outside the supporters club before the march last Sunday.

As for the article, I knew straight away which direction he was going with in it before I read it. I thought it was pretty famous that Shanks didn't really 'engage' with players who were injured, amongst reds?

I think it made a mug of more than a few, excellent bit of work all you got to do is read some of Shanks quotes on injured players then perhaps a few more will grasp it .

It's a cheeky little dig at all the media mongers who are saying Rafa is a cold, emotionless manager. And well constructed, too.

Excellent read - just got to get over the first apparent criticism and then it snowballs.
