Never a bad fella, i think. Always gave his all on the pitch, but that wasn't enough for a club like ours.

Same thoughts. I never got to up in arms about his effort, he always seemed to be busting his fat arse gut when he was out there, but he just didn't have the ability to conform to our teams play. If he could give the willingness to compete to Babel on his way out it would be greatly appreciated.

How was he Italy number one left back he had 1 cap which he got coming on as sub that hardly made him Italys left back before he came to Liverpool.

Grosso was their number 1 left back and Zambrotta played there a couple of times as well sadly Dossena didn't. Neither is he their current left back that again would be Grosso.

To be fair he was unlucky with Injuries, and Insua has stepped in.

No hassle Joey, wasn't impressed when we signed him to be honest said it on here, didn't think he would be good enough. Up to the age of 23 he spent most of his time on loan with various clubs or playing in the Italian second division.

He had one good season with Udinese and we signed him on the back of that.

Like Ezequiel Lavezzi to us?

Dossena on his way

Andrea Dossena's move to Napoli has been agreed, subject to a medical.

The Italian defender has spent the day at the Serie A club's Castelvolturno training ground in Caserta and is expected to put pen to paper imminently.

Dossena joined Liverpool from Udinese in the summer of 2008 for £7million, but failed to impress despite a memorable goal in the 4-1 win at Man Utd last season.


An official announcement from Napoli is expected within the next few hours.
