Manchester United have asked Norwegian youngster Sondre Tronstad back for a second trial after he impressed recently.

The 14-year-old is thought to have performed well in front of Red Devils coaches and was asked back in February or March.

Tronstad admitted he was delighted to be spotted by United scouts despite the fact that he supports bitter rivals Liverpool.

Two other Norwegian youngsters Mads Daehli and Herman Stengel also went down for trials.

"They have said that it went well and that I should come back in February or March," Tronstad told fvn.no.

"It's a bit special to visit Manchester Unitedsince I am a Liverpool supporter. But I felt it was a good chance."
      I think we could afford a 14yo.
Why were we not first to poach him?

Would there be any club daft enough to buy Voronin,as the young lad is still only 14 we could give him a trial as there is nothing signed and sealed with Manure.

I'm sorry but as a Liverpool fan through and through the only football club I would play for is Liverpool and I would tell United to shove their trial up their ass.

I don't think I would even consider going on trial for Man United if I was a Liverpool fan unless I'm pressuring Liverpool into making a move.

If we went after him the FA would do us for poaching after manUre had expressed an interest and we'd get a 15 point deduction unlike the mancs who do it and the FA are too sh*t scared to say anything.

He's 14, trying to be respectable and let's face it, the kid probably hasn't been to that many football stadiums, so the lad sees it as a big honour.

Haha yeah I understand that, but I mean why does it make it special because you support Liverpool? Surely it would be special anyway? I dunno, maybe I'm being picky on his English!

Well, you're playing football in Norway, if one of the biggest clubs in the world offer you a trial even though you support a club slightly bigger you're not going to turn it down.

It would be an excellent career move for any 14 yr old lad, let alone one playing in an obscure footballing nation like Norway.

Maybe he is using them as his stepping stone. Do well, get signed, then do sh*te in the important games, I.e. score own goals etc so they then want rid and he can play for a respectable club ;)

      I definitely know he's a Manchester lad.  It'd be logical wouldn't it?

C'mon, as a 14 year old if a big club came knocking you'd take the hands off them. Obviously if you had the choice you'd go with Liverpool but if that was the only offer on the table I don't think anyone would say no.

You cant blame the kid for taking his shot.  Jesus',  a 14 year old Norwegian school kid has a try-out for Man.United. sure as sh*t he's going to try out!  I have no love for Man U. even when I was 14. But if they came knocking and wanted me to try out I would.

Let Man U spend all the money training him then when he's good, transfer window comes,  he knows where to go.

I love Liverpool 100% but it makes me laugh when people say they wouldn't play for Utd. Dont chat f**king sh*t. I work 7 days a week for f**kin sh*t money and would jump at the chance. Anyone who says they wouldn't chat sh*t. I would play for them, make my name there and request a transfer to Liverpool ;)

Isnt there already a thread questioning whether an out-of-towner can be just as big a fan as one living in Liverpool?
