Its a real shame and a big blow for Arsenal as they head in to the busy Christmas period.

      F***ing internationals, what a joke.

I don't. If we don't win the title, then I hope Arsenal do. Realistically, they're the only ones out of City and them that can actually do it.

He's going to Serbia for special treatment. Apparently his ankle will be massaged with placenta, I kid you not. It helped some other players with similar injuries. One of them actually was supposed to be out for 8 weeks but was back playing after 2 weeks. Though it's more of a if it doesn't do any harm why not give it a try thing for him. He said he's lucky he only torn 2 of his 3 ankle ligaments, though they're torn almost completely, would he have completely torn all 3 then he would've likely broken something and been out for a very long time.

Agreed. I rather have them win, only if we can't than Man United or Chelsea.

Don't really care to be honest.

We've got our own injury problems to deal with.

Thats a bit sad lad, we are Liverpool fans and most of us have more class then to laugh at other's miseries and misfortunes.

As Res said if we dont win the title then I would prefer Arsenal to ahead of the Mancs and Chelsea.

But sorry I forgot you are the "Darkone" after all.

Me too.  I'm waiting until after Wednesday to see who else gets crocked before I make any more.  Bloody internationals  ::)

Bad luck for him though.  Puts a dent in Arsenal's challenge, Bentner's out as well for a while.

Dirk wasn't impressed with the way Italy played either.

      From sky sports news:

      Angry Kuyt blasts Italy
World champions accused of not showing respect
      Last updated: 17th November 2009
Holland star Dirk Kuyt has accused Italy of deliberately kicking them during the friendly between the two countries at the weekend.

Kuyt was unhappy with Italy's tactics as Robin van Persie suffered a serious ankle injury following a challenge by Giorgio Chiellini.

Van Persie has absolved Chiellini of any blame, but Liverpool forward Kuyt was left incensed by Italy's rough approach to the game.

Kuyt felt Italy's approach showed a lack of respect towards his international team-mates.

      Anger
"I was very disappointed," Kuyt told Sky Sports News.

"We played a friendly against a big country - Italy - and if you see the way they kicked us it's very sad, very sad for the Dutch team and also very sad for Robin because he was in great form.

"I think it was a bad tackle [Chiellini on van Persie] sometimes you think about this when you play a friendly for your country there should be more respect for each other and hopefully it won't happen in the future."

      Sympathy
Holland defender Johnny Heitinga had sympathy for Van Persie with the Arsenal forward facing a six-week spell on the sidelines with torn ankle ligaments.

"It's hard for a team, but harder for himself as he has been playing well for the last couple of months and he was one of the best players in the Premier League," said Heitinga.

"I hope for him he recovers soon."

It's amazing first we suffer from the injury curse, next the Chavs and now Arsenal.

Unbelievable how those Mancs haven't suffered any. Surely would have thought Owen would have been on the sidelines by now  :P

Every day, more and more, I truly believe God is a Manc.  :f_wah:

Interestingly enough, dutch media are reporting that Riera and Yossi have just undergone the same treatment as van Persie will, with horse placenta :P Apparently due to that treatment they might be fit enough to play saturday. They also report that Liverpool want the woman that does the treatment to become part of the Liverpool staff.

      I heard it's 4-5 months now cause he's torn 3/4 ligaments.

Poor lad. Hope he gets well soon as I actually rate him.

Ya heard that as well, he is a massive loss for Arsenal he is a quality striker and has been excellant for Arsenal so far this season but he is very injury prone only saying to an Arsenal fan a couple of weeks ago he was due an injury.

He's a great player and it's a shame for Arsenal that he's out. Was a bit disappointed that he's out as he didn't play when I went to watch them play the other day.

But, wish him all the best. Good player, and i have a soft spot for Arsenal of late. All the ass kissing they are doing is working.

Yeah, I mean, they are our rivals in the title race but they have sense are sound people, IMO. I get along pretty well with Arsenal fans.

Yeah same here. Most have got the mutual down right hatred of manure, which is great. Although almost any fan of another team i meet likes Liverpool more than manure. Think that speaks volumes.

Still pissed about my fantasy team, have forgotten about it the last couple weeks and now i have remembered im afraid to look! Especially when i just put Van Persie in like 3 weeks ago when Nando went out.
