Andrey Arshavin has risked the wrath of Gunners by labelling Liverpool fans the best in the world.
The Arsenal striker claims Russian fans should learn how to support their team better by taking lessons from Kopites.
 
He said: "Our fans need to learn from the English football supporters, and in particular from Liverpool fans."
 
Told that Chelsea star Yuri Zhirkov was awestruck by Manchester United fans after CSKA Moscow's trip to Old Trafford, Arshavin added: "It's only because he hasn't played against Liverpool yet."

Know what yer mean.Sitting in Goa airport opposite a Moscow flight load of passengers we played spot the Russian.And to be honest its easier than I spy.They all seem to have that smacked arse face look. 

I remember seeing him play in a UEFA final against Rangers for St Petersburg and he was electric,, me and my friend were literally praying since that day that we would have signed him.

 I think he is one that got away I remember him mentioning Liverpool as one of the teams he would play for in England before he signed for anyone. I think he would have being a revelation at Liverpool and I think he would have chosen us over Arsenal if he had the choice.

Yeah I'd love him to play for us but I still wanna smack him after every time he scores, he puts his finger to his lips.

After Henry now's Arshavin talking about how great we are being a Liverpool fan! Even if Fergie didn't or will never acknowledged the fact but still there are top players out there admitting being in Anfield especially the fans is the kind of feeling they wished they never loose. Between Wenger's backing of Rafa this season and this, i feel there's a love affair in the works here. Good to see a club that as a whole doesn't piss me off much at all. I can't really think of any players at Arsenal these days that pisses me off too much. Adebayor always gave me the shits, but he's not there now. If i have to pick anyone to win the title this year bar us, i would like them to lift it.

I don't have an article at hand but I remember reading a rumour that Rafa tried to snatch Arshavin from under the noses of Arsenal on deadline day but Keane's return to Spurs took too long and until all the papers were signed, we couldn't be sure that the Keane money would be available. Yet another one that slipped through the net.

Great player, and Arsenal in my mind are one of the better teams going round. I think our fans and theirs are kind of neutral towards each other, we want to beat them when we play them but want to see them do well if we're not.

I would praise Arshavin any day over a Manc or Chav player.

When you look at the quality of player he is and hold him in comparisons with Babel who only cost 5 million less, he looks a real steal at that price or Rafa got his eyes took out cleaned and put back in on Babel.

Yup he was indeed a steal.. I remember thinking when we sold Keane in the winter, surely we could have got in on the deal when he was stranded at the airport! Didn't realize the lack of money we had at the time though. He's adapted to the Prem very quickly, he's already one of the most dangerous players in the league.
