Saw something this morning saying that Chelsea is his most likely destination.

He'll go to whoever offers him the most money IMO.

I don't, not unless other clubs start accepting bids consisting of hopes and dreams.

Would prefer Mata over him personally, he didn't play all that well for Spain the other day.

Does Torres play fantastically for spain all the time? Or Alonso?
2 players IMO both at the very very very very very very very very top of what they do.

So far he has wrapped his lips around the schlongs of Chelsea recently  and United earlier this year no mention of wanting to come to Liverpool, not like we could ever afford him anyway.

Alonso plays fantastically nearly every time for Spain, Torres usually does but hasn't recently as he's coming back from injury. So yes.

There's no way Silva will go to City.

      http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/10/06/23/manual_162018.html

Silva has been given permission by Valencia to speak to City.
Another one who is getting away.

Bottom line is, as soon as City become interested in someone, we can't have him.

That is unless he wants to play for us that much, that he'll sacrifice half his wages, sign for a managerless side being run by  arseholes.

Just seen on SSN actually about it. I'd hate to see him go to another English team after we have been linked with him for the past few summers :(

Uhm .... why the hell would he go to City ? They don't even have CL football whereas Valencia does , and I highly doubt he'd leave Spain as of now .

To be completely honest, none of this has anything to do with Liverpool FC.

It was blatantly obvious we weren't going to sign him this summer. Much like the huge doubts regarding us signing anyone.

Until we get new owners/Silva goes on a free, we won't be seeing signings such as this one. I'd love to be wrong, but we all know the harsh reality of our situation.

Right now a player in this price bracket is out of our reach, also we can't offer CL football or a realistic chance of winning the league.

Better to stop dreaming and start thinking of free transfers and loan signings. Unfortunately the board is even managing to make a hash of these.

These are sad times for our club.

The harsher reality is that players that command a fee of more than £0.00 are out of our reach.

We need these cancerous tw*ts out of our club for good.

      Is exactly right.

We aren't gonna sign anyone such as high profile as Silva or Aguero. And we can't.

Sadly we do not have the allure at the moment, most of our transfer dealings are outgoing rumours. NOTHING in terms of players coming in except Jov and that was in place before Rafa left. As for Silva, quality player but I'm glad he seems to be going to another English club for personally I don't think he can hack it. To be honest he got loads of injuries in Spain, imagine the premiership. I can't see him adapting quickly. I think we all belted out for him because he's a very good left sided winger. I'd give Elija a shot.

I like Elija but the fact is he is injury prone and not that different to Babel. I don't think Silva is injury prone but the fact he could be about to talk to Man City says a lot about his motives.

According to AS he's really close to City. This is bad news because now they can attract actual talent, and not just money hungry Adebayors and Robinhos

I'd say Silva is money hungry if he goes there to be honest because he could easily go to somewhere like Chelsea or Madrid.

Not much point in talking about a player worth £25m-£30million is there?
