Did anyone else see those notes that Mourinho wrote during his time at Chelski? He was analysing every move that the opposition players were making, trying to find a weakness to pass on to his players, either during that game or the next time they faced them.
In the example printed in the newspaper, Chelski were playing against Newcastle and he noticed that when the ball is played in front of Newcastle's back 4, Titus Bramble would move forward to meet it. He passed this on to his players at half time and they exploited it almost straight away. A couple of Chelski players played a 1-2 in front of Newcastle's back 4, Bramble stepped forward and a diagonal ball was played in behind him to the Chelski runner... goal.
I'm assuming Rafa is analysing things to the same extent.
