Last season's Liverpool team would beat this season's team about 25-0.

That Karacan looked quality. 20 years of age too...

Not good enough, the players will know that.

Not pissed off like I would be for a Premier League game.

      Let's rape them at Anfield.

      Really poor game :/

Atleast we're not out and them coming to anfield is a completely different game.

Hoped we would have won this one on the first attempt though.

Watching that game made me think why can't we just have quick, skillfull wingers rather than a makeshift runner thing with hardly any technical skill.

I'm losing patience with Kuyt, and it pains me to say it.

Just shows how much confidence there is in the defence when Pepe is playing in goals for a cup game against championship opposition.

which to me suggest that we need an addition there as well.  some claim there is no need, but our defending would suggest otherwise.  Probably don't have the funds anyway.

Well at least we didn't loose. And a couple of weeks back would've settled for 6 pts in the PL and a draw in the cup. We're not going to suddenly start playing great again, one step at a time. Let's finish them at home and move on.
In saying that, not sure if we're really improving all that much, though we've been able to get a couple of results. We still lack that urgency and some of the passing tonight was REALLY atrocious. We're not moving enough for the player who has the ball, getting into good positions for the next pass. Pass AND move ... not pass & stand around. We look so static, specially in the centre of the pitch. Can't ever remember seeing SG so lackidasical (spelling?) over a series of games. Still, in fairness to him, he scored yet another important goal tonight - the mark of a really great player, still finds the net when playing badly.

I dont understand how came out of this with a draw...We should of wiped the field with those guys. We should of scored 3-4 goals and left it at that. Now we have to play another game, for a team thats tired and Injured.

I dont get it. Whats missing. Whats wrong?  :f_doh:

Gerrard needs to get a grip. And get a grip fast.

Without a shadow of a doubt our most underperforming player.  Kuyt, Insua, Aurelio and N'gog were all poor but none of them are club captain and considered as world class.

I simply cannot understand how a bunch of players who played so well last season are under-performing so badly this year.  Simple things such as passing seem beyond them.  I don't know what drugs they are all on nowadays but they need to get back on whatever they were taking last season.

Not pissed off like I would be for a Premier League game.

Extremely pissed off for me now.

We've got a chance to go on 3 wins on a trot and what did we do? F***ing sat back and invited them to attack us!

A very below average performance and lucky to get away with a replay. We didn't even threaten them the whole of the second half.

One thing that struck me is we seem to lose our footing very quickly. 5 minutes we're on the top, and then the next we're back down again. Unpredictable and the whole thing just.. isn't slick.

I'm losing patience with Kuyt as well, his touch awful, overall contribution atrocious and was probably the worst Liverpool player on the pitch. No sharpness in attack, looks like a makeshift winger to me running around like a headless chicken. Ridiculous performance from him.

It seems every match, Reina does more and more to keep this team in the hunt. As usual, hes my MOTM.

He does so much to get the boys going and moving. Thank God for Reina. Best keeper in the league.

I hated the way we'd just hoof the ball up field at every opportunity.

We let their unattractive gameplan get to us and it showed through our unattractiveness.

We needed to keep the ball, play it around and spank their arses. We didn't. We kissed their arses.

Hoping for a much better showing against Spurs next week.

Hopefully the team will look/be more up for that one.

At least we will have Javier Mascherano back for the replay.  :f_whistle:

Torres was our best winger. That's how awful our wide play is.

We badly need a couple of winger's who will run at pace and whip a cross in.

I don't think I can be more gutted we were so relaxed about the opposition that we didn't even bother showing up. Kuyt was my unsung hero last season but oh dear he has just lost everything about himself, read there recently also that over 70% of his connected passes travel backwards this season and that to me is a F***ing joke for a right winger. But I think something needs to happen over the next week cause if Insua plays against Lennon well we might as well give them the three points because Insua can't defend yet I think a few games in the reserves and with a sh*t load of defensive drills he could be very good and doesn't deserve the sh*t he gets. I think Stevie needs to play on the left as he does with England cause everytime I see him play there he F***ing kills right backs as he puts them on their weaker side. Also Torres needs to play with someone and not only that Rafa's favoured 4-5-1 isn't working anymore as teams are just kicking the sh*t out of the lone striker and Stevie in my opinion has been non-existent in this campaign in the AM role as he isn't getting proper service as Torres is getting ass gaped by the opposition. Come on you reds get this season F***ing up and running we have waited far too F***ing long already!!!

The game that should have won, but we chosed a hard way than easier way.
Really don't understand why Rafa given Ngog and Aurelio as stater while Aquilani and Benayoun sitting on the bench.

And as usual, we let the goal thru set-piece.

Whats happened to Gerrard?. Why's he playing so poor?. A replay is the last thing the team needs now that their in the Europa League.

The ball was like a hot potato in our hands today. Playing a team a divison below, we could not keep hold of the ball today . Our passing especially when we had time hardly found one of our own players today. Looks like we could go back to the days of the five a side practice games, something needs doing and soon

I thought this against Villa too. Why do we no longer work the ball up from defence? Every defender just wants rid immediately and it puts us straight back under pressure.

Thought Gerrard was far too deep, Insua was poor and beaten for pace every time by a Championship winger, and we weren't compact enough overall. There was a huge gap between midfield and the forwards. Kuyt has been pissing me off recently but to be fair he was lively today.

We have to beat them at home. Tired of Townsend's coments about us after this sort of a performance
