"Liverpool FC and adidas are set to go back to the 1980s with the launch of the new Liverpool 2010-12 standard chartered brand kits.
The new home kit comes in traditional red with white stripes on the shoulders and also half way down the sleeves. there is also a shadow liverbird design running through the shirt, on the back under the white collar line is the words "liverpool fc" written in Aspen Gold lettering, but its the collar that will bring back the most vivid memories of the 80s, the collar is a white crew neck design similar to the liverpool shirts worn by Kenny Dalglish's all star teams of 1987-1991.
Goalkeeper Pepe Reina also has a new uniform. His shirt is Jade Green with Black sleeves and teamed up with Black shorts and Jade green socks.
Both kits will not be released until May and are set for launch in Liverpool's last home game of the season against Chelsea on May 1st.
There is also two New Away Kits. The Away kit for domestic games will be an almost Orange style shirt (officially described as Sunset Amber) and will be teamed up with Graphite Shorts and Socks.
the new European fixture Away kit is not decided yet although early indications are that it will be either White with Black shorts or Silver Grey and Red.
Both Away strips are not launched until late July early August."
