Watching the actual conference has made me think even more he's going to be off.

Or maybe he just doesn't want to say an outright no incase he has to be looking for somewhere else.

I don't think Villa would be value for money and i think we need one on the left, we have other positions full.

He'd be value for money in my eyes if both he and Nando got us 20 goals a season and won us 4 Premier league trophies on the bounce. ;)

For those who wanted Rafa out, you may well get your wish. But who in the hell will step in? Terrifying times.

      A Hicks and Gillett selection.
      Thats who.

Yep so your going to get 4 seasons out of him, I think 30 million, would be more nearer the mark it's like every valuation you place it high so you can come down, haggling room, ensures you get the price you want. ;D

Hopefully he's going nowhere, i don't think there's another manager on the planet who'd have the fight in him that Rafa does. It's hard enough managing the team side of things, without the constant struggle with the cheeseburger munching fuckwits!

Five Pointed Palm Exploding Brain Punch to the temples of Hicks and Gillett please! Bollocks! They haven't got any F***ing brains! Oh well, sniper shots it is then  >:D >:D

Rafa is on a good run at the club at the moment

He copes so well under pressure and out of know where produces the greatest football we played this season apart from the win at anfield against Man Utd & Spurs

Rafa's laying his cards on the table for those greedy yanks to see. Fair enough, the way he's been treated by them, and best possible scenario is that Rafa stays and forces the Americans to find some new funds via investment or, whisper it, their OWN money!!!

Very true mate but he is their only striker of above average quality. Zigic is playing well but he'll fetch at the very most 10m.

As well as their debt, the amount of clubs that would be interested and their financial power, etc.

And until 33? I reckon 31-32 but thats just my opinion. Strikers don't seem to continue their quality past 31-32 these days.

Just heard apparent breaking news (Fox Soccer Channel in the US) that Juventus officials have been on Merseyside and agreed on a deal that will take Rafa in the summer. Where they got it I don't know, but im really worried now. When a US channel is saying it, I dunno it just seems to be gathering so much pace  :-\

EDIT: Sky just said it was reported in the Daily Mail, and that it was Juves president who apparently has come out and said the deal is done. Im sick of this sh*t!

Juve 'agree terms with Rafa to take over'

      Telegraph

Turin club's lawyers due in England today for talks to have Liverpool manager in charge for next season

By James Hanning and Marc Padgett

      Sunday, 31 January 2010

Juventus have agreed terms with Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez for him to manage the Serie A club next season, according to authoritative reports from Italy last night.

La Repubblica newspaper reported that the club's lawyers will arrive in England today for talks tomorrow about the release of the manager this summer. Benitez's current contract at Anfield runs until 2014.

Juventus president Jean-Claude Blanc is reported to have "already fixed everything with Benitez and has in his drawer a detailed agreement of his terms and length of contract". Juve are keen to reach an agreement and begin making plans for next season.

The Turin club are also keen to minimise any payment they will have to make to Liverpool, and will be aware of the Premier League club's poor form and rumours that the Spaniard's deal makes him "too expensive to sack".

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport last night confirmed the arrival of Juve's representatives but insisted that it remains uncertain whether Benitez actually wants to leave Anfield.

Juve dismissed Ciro Ferrara as coach and appointed Alberto Zaccheroni on Friday as caretaker manager until the end of the season.

Benitez has come under fire for a spluttering season and doubts over his future intensified with Ferrara's sacking. Benitez signed a new deal in March 2009, intended to keep him at the Merseyside club until 2014, but an early exit in the Champions' League and FA Cup, along with poor Premier League form, has not helped to quash reports of a premature departure.

On Friday, 50-year-old Benitez rejected talk of an imminent move to Juve, saying he was "proud" to be linked with the Old Lady as they are a "top side in Europe" but adding: "I'm happy here and want to do a job as best I can."

Benitez, whose team defeated Bolton 2-0 at Anfield yesterday, said: "I am not here to talk about speculation because people talk too much. I know they [Juventus] were interested, that is part of the game now in football, but I am not ready to talk too much because I don't want to lose my focus."

Former Milan manager Zaccheroni was revealed as Ferrara's replacement until the end of the Serie A campaign, on the back of Juve losing nine of their last 12 games in all competitions.

Their 2-1 defeat by Roma last weekend was their fifth loss in six league games and left them 16 points adrift of leaders Inter. A 2-1 loss to Inter in the Italian Cup on Thursday proved to be Ferrara's last game in charge.

I find this part interesting considering Tom Hicks is in England, could this be the reason why ?

La Repubblica newspaper reported that the club's lawyers will arrive in England today for talks tomorrow about the release of the manager this summer. Benitez's current contract at Anfield runs until 2014.

I for one am sick to the teeth of all this speculation about Rafa, all the press want is to put the boot in on a great manager, why don't they spend more time on H&G on what they have contributed to this great club of ours which I think would help by getting shut of a pair time wasters who couldn't give a toss what happens to Liverpool Footbal Club so long as they can make a few bob and tell their mates we own LFC.

Normally we claim the ECHO  as a good source,  it says we have to fight to keep rafa  at Anfield ,

yes, but he also said this...

      Quote
"I am not here to talk about speculation because people talk too much. I know they [Juventus] were interested, that is part of the game now in football, but I am not ready to talk too much because I don't want to lose my focus."

I'm starting to worry that he has had enough of England, English press, English tv pundits, and most of all the yanks!
