Reds teen set for Dutch return
Skysports.com understands that Liverpool teenager Vincent Weijl is poised to return to Holland.

The Reds signed the attacking midfielder from AZ Alkmaar in July 2008 and he is a member of the Premier League side's reserves.

But Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is understood to be prepared to allow Weijl to leave on loan in order to build first-team experience.

An unnamed Dutch club have made approach for the 19-year-old and he could therefore be moving back to the Eredivisie.

When Weijl first arrived at Anfield expectation was high that he would develop into a major talent and Benitez will hope that a loan will assist his progress.

Surprised Spurs don't want him. They seem to want everyone else.

Hasn't been used in the ressies at all this season. Which I find odd as he looked quite promising last season.

Not the old line about being loaned to gain experience, heard that for nigh on 10 years now, basically, loan with a view to sign him permanently.

Is it beneficial to send him out on loan to Holland?

Not really, at least not at Helmond Sport, it's not even an eredivisie club. He'll prove nothing by doing well there, certainly not to us. Liverpool allowing him to go there makes me think we just want to get rid of him and see this as the best way to bring him to the attention of dutch clubs. I'm not sure how good he is, but most young dutch talents don't have any problem getting loaned out to a lower eredivisie club, makes me wonder why he wasn't able to get loaned to an eredivise club.

Apparently there were Eredivise clubs after him, but moved to Helmond. Maybe the promise of guaranteed football was enough to sway him.
